namco x capcom got fantranslated but i really don't suggest it to anyone,it's a super boring SRPG where you fight endless horde of mooks which takes forever because each single attack takes like 2 minutes to execute
so yeah...

I've played Mighty Jill Off a while back due to its Mighty Bomb Jack trappings; not a very good game though. It's cool she got her start with Tim Sweeney's ZZT, where I first got into game design (along with Chris Kohler of Wired, and the dubstep producer Emalkay among others)...

Might be, but the same thing was done with Graces f. Sega and SE get their games out a couple months after the JP release, but Namco takes 1-2 years.

Probably an ok 7/10 action game. Don't think it will be awful, but it's the kind of game no one actually plays unless they only own Nintendo systems or are on that bargain bin binge gaming.

I wonder how many kids in Japan will buy this knowing that the actual sequel to this game is a PSP exclusive:

Level-5 is milking this thing hard. The first Little Battlers eXperience game will be released 3 times in one year once this is out.

Oh, and for what it's worth I've been told the game is indeed being localized. It's likely that Scamco is involved, so given how fast they are at localizing games it's probably just the 3DS version since by the time it'll be released here Sony will have stopped selling PSPs.

Total shame, but it's definitely looking grim for them after SE rumored to have cancel their Star Ocean 5 which became that sci-fi next-gen tech demo. Beyond the Labyrinth is like DSiware budget game.

Picked it up. It's the only HoD I haven't played and for a few bucks I wouldn't mind getting some play time with it. Hope it's a good port.

Errr, Tri-Crescendo only made 2 games on their own. Eternal Sonata, and the game sucked and Fractale, which no one played. Not really a jrpg powerhouse by any means. So it's not surprising they never went anywhere. They did Baten Kaitos 2 together with Monolithsoft using the base that Monolithsoft created with BK1. Tri-crescendo was always an art/music studio that worked on other people's games. They were never game designers and it shows.

Tri-Ace is actually a good team though. They just got screwed when SE dropped them and no one wanted them.

I bought it. Played the demo last week and enjoyed it.

On a side note, I tried hotd3 a ways back with the sharpshooter attachment. Surprisingly great with pump reload and everything, and unlike the wii or guncon 3 you can be fairly close to the TV/sensors. Too expensive to justify buying another piece of plastic, though, at least with the scarcity of lightgun games on the PS3.

Reused assets = barely true

Too long = main story is about 40 hours, standard for a JRPG

Too complicated = stop playing God of War n00b, the battle system is perfect

I prefer the battle system in BK2 how it has the whole card playing ATB thing going on, also way tougher with heaps more strategy. A true gamers game

Also best JRPG localisation of all time, all VA is perfect

It's a better port from what I hear. No slowdown, and if you're using the Sharpshooter, reloading is mapped to the pump-action thing, so it's like playing the arcade version.

It's basically an Hd remaster of hotd3. Unless you really care about that or prefer the move, it's the same content. Personally I passed back when it was $5 because I don't like hotd3 much.

Hotd overkill has new content over the wii version, plus noticeable improvements in performance, supposedly.
