I really doubt Game Freak is ever going to mess with the EV system again. When they went from GSC to the Advance games, they redesigned EVs and balanced them appropriately, which is why you couldn't transfer your old Pokemon into those games. So I for one hope they don't hit the reset button on everyone's Pokemon again.

But even if they did, each version would still sell 10 million each so I guess they can do whatever the hell they want.

GSC didn't have effort values. I see what you're saying though.

It didn't have EVs per se, but you could still max out all of your stats in a similar manner. The main difference is every stat could be raised to the cap, whereas you have to pick and choose what you're going to focus on in the Advance and DS games.

- Platinum (Pearl/Diamond)
- HG/SS (waiting for the "ultimate" version of this... if they do one)

Well, part of the reason I like it is because it uses voice-over from the best reviewer on the planet. And because he says "shump." And because there are people who love Cave's iPhone ports, but don't realize they're missing out on the real games. It's such a sadness, as Mr. Lynch says.
