They haven't been doing much lately other than releasing crappy remakes of old Atari games, like Centipede and Yar's Revenge.

He lambasted the usual suspects a bit too much for my liking (we get it, Kotaku is not a credible resource for gaming journalism, it's just a dumb blog) and I think the guy had a tendency to get his panties in a bunch and hypocritically jump to conclusions on some really silly gossipy-type information, but otherwise it was enjoyable while it lasted, and I would like to think it helped, if only slightly, to keep a few notables in line with regard to the sort of blatant horseshit they post on the internet.

pacman had arms and legs in pacman world or something. prolly that pacman. word on the street is that he'll play like mokujin from tekken, as in - you are randomly given another character's moveset before each round, so it's like playing random but you don't know whose moveset you have until you start doing thangs. pretty fun back in tekken 3.

Isn't Graces (the Wii one) relatively short? I remember bebpo (?) saying it was like 20 to 30 hours. I'll get it if its a relatively brief jrpg/tales game. I dropped Vesperia around 50 to 60 hours because it just got tiring.

Graces F might have more bonus content like that pirate girl or whatever

Yeah, it's about 30 not counting the new epilogue which is supposed to be 5-8 hours long. Game is a lot better than Vesperia though.

Honestly, if the game was good it has the potential to be an awesome rpg. I mean the cast is great with tons of cross-over opportunities, the stories are good if it's a mish-mash where you play through the tales of them all like SRW. The sprites aren't bad. So if it has a good battle system, it could turn out to be a great cross-over rpg.

Otoh if the game design is lazy and the battle system is boring and repetitive and dungeons are terrible, it will be a miss.

If I had the time to actually play it and it was cheaper I'd be there day 1. But I'm about 30 games-I-actually-want-to-play backlogged and $100 is a lot for a potential kuso-ge.

Apparently it's directed by the creator/director of Wild Arms 1?

It's not idea factory, it'll be better than cross edge for sure.

I have the feeling it'll somewhere between the quality of the SRW OG Saga rpgs and Namco x Capcom.

It's cool, I like Slayers too. In fact, I like every series included except Blood+ (don't care) and Orphan (saw it but don't remember anything about it). My only worry is that because battles look similar to NxC and OG Saga, that it'll share the same problem as those two games, namely that the battles take forever because you are doing cccccombos to infinity on every single grunt. If the battles are short and quick and even the boss fights are not a grind, I'll be happy.

You know, when a dev has to hide their gameplay in a quick 5 second montage in the middle of 2 mins of ANIME or CG, it really doesn't show a lot of faith in their HD ANIMATION SPRITES.
