I was planning on getting SLI GTX 980 GPUs for my next build but now that 6 GB VRAM per GPU has become mandatory shit could get expensive and I have to wait for 6 GB versions.

She's just really ubiquitous right now, in ads and print and TV. Her music is overproduced jpop like most of everything else, and she was clearly produced as a safe, cute alternative to Lady Gaga for domestic audiences here. It's pretty fun. The controls are fine. Given your family situation and the fact that you used the plural ''kids'' the Wii U version would make more sense since they can play together sharing one screen.

I agree on 2. 1 just clicked with me and I miss playing it. It transported me back to childhood in the sense that it was something that felt novel and just pure fun. It was my game of the generation easily. 2 was like, let's put yoshi and Mario 64 stage in this game. It didn't feel necessary and I don't think it improved upon anything in 1. Still better than most games of the gen, though.

The soundtrack is orchestrated but playful and joyous. Which perfectly fits the tone of Mario Galaxy. The epic feeling also suits a game where you're flying in outer space. Woody Allen with Schlinder's List ost comparison is illogical. More than that, not every track on Galaxy is epic. You have tracks like the awesome remixed 1-1 theme as well.

This is just modern Japanese console gaming. Gotta appeal to the otaku crowd. Of course western otaku like to use the defense " oh at least Japanese games have female leads". Yet it's hard to take that seriously when the reason for having female leads is so obvious.

But Tecmo has been sexing up all thier games. Kagero was always a little fanservice, but it didn't have anime moe blobs. I guess DoA has shown them the way.

The most FF3 had was a maid outfit. Then again the remake of 2 seemed to up the "moe" of the sisters so maybe it's always been heading here.

Either way I'm not complaining. FF characters have always looked attractive so I don't mind the added TNA. Makes it a bit more appealing. Hope it comes out here

Loading times on the PS4 are fine. Small games (e.g. Resogun) have short loading times. Larger retail games have become better at masking loading times with cutscenes and they also do a better job with limiting the amount of data that is being loaded. For instance in Infamous you can teleport across town almost instantly. Most of the required data is loaded during the initial startup.

Ubisoft locking the PS4 version of AC Unity to 900p/30fps for parity reasons.

So much for Unity being the first game in the series to show next-gen prowess. Was kinda looking forward to it, but now I guess I'll wait for it to come out first and hear if it's good instead of buying it blind.

Free Radical got bought by Crytek a while back, now they're completely shuttered. Crytek could still bring the series back at some point, but it doesn't seem likely.
