14 billion people just died in a cutscene in the Warhammer 40K game I'm playing.

It was the end of chapter 3.

I followed this thread as it was ongoing. Don't waste your time reading all his combat descriptions, just follow the story. This game was a fucking trainwreck. :betty

already played it but i am always here for trashing third birthday. amazingly bad game in all aspects, but the story in particular is just mind blowing shit. it's like it was 30% done, including lots of high quality cutscenes, but then they just said fuck it and shipped. just pure poo.

I had fun with the gameplay. I mean about as much fun as a PSP TPS can be. But yeah is the story just so so so bad. It's almost impressive in how nonsensical it is. Nonsensical, but without any Avant gardness that an art movie would have.

i remember gameplay being unbelievably tedious, but i might have been playing on hard or something. bosses would take like 30-45 minutes to kill. that fucking bee boss at the end of chapter 2 was a fucking nightmare.

started up Gat out of Hell, but i dunno if i can do another run in shitty Steelport. this series deserves better than that lifeless map.

Gat Out of Hell is not set in Steelport. If it is supposedly Steelport, it wasn't recognizable to me.

well i should check it out again then. at first glance it looked like Steelport with hell textures and a bunch of extra parts and platforms like they had in sr4.

The main island (and parts of another) re-use some of the textures/models from Steelport but usually reconfigured in various manners. It is an entirely new layout and map though.

They probably just reused that stuff to save time making the "ruined city" part of Hell. "Kitbashing" effectively. There are a few similar looking streets to the south of the primary Ultor building that aren't too Helled-up.

Main thing is unlike Steelport in 4 the map does more than just put collectibles vertically. Stuff is constructed upwards for other uses other than just being tall for The Third. Though bolting up a wall and into the air to re-orient an attack is still a constantly effective escape route and primary usage of vertical space.

So, my friend calls me at work and tells me he scored 3 tickets to Video Games Live in Westbury, I totally forgot this was going on but I ended up going, and it was really cool. Great mix of old songs and new (the new songs picked were from interesting games - Ico, Journey, Shadow of the Colossus, and Phoenix Wright). Of course they had Chrono Trigger, FF, Castlevania, Tetris. Highlight being a string quartet covering a bunch of FF boss themes.

After the show we stayed around and got to meet Tommy Tallarico (who organizes the event), was pretty cool, he's a very funny and personable guy in person. And apparently Steven Tyler's cousin?!?!

I think I might just be burned out on Souls games. After completing DeS, DaS, and DaS2, I ended up putting both Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 on hold and never really felt like picking them back up.

Division is ass anyway. I guess its fun if you play the singleplayer stuff. Once you beat the game the endgame is weak and full of assholes.

why must you hurt me so
After Squeenix and Capcom have been so bad about maintaining iOS ports, I have been entirely unwilling to patronize their products. Eventually Japanese publishers might even learn that the rest of the world does not have the same captive island economy they can readily and carelessly abuse.

If it's gone from the store, does that mean you can't download it, or can you still track it down under Purchased items, as with Xbox Live?

chaos rings 2 still works for me, but i keep an old phone for my classic gaming. it really is shameful how these companies charge so much without a guarantee that they'll keep being supported. any company that's serous about having a mobile division absolutely need to have people on staff that can help patch old games as platforms are updated. it really can't be that hard.

For having roamed GameFAQs quite a bit back then I get the impression that a game even having a FAQ is very hit-&-miss now. It wouldn't be surprising that the number of FAQs submitted had declined in the last 15 to 10 years...

For what game? I've found lots of minute details only found on GameFAQs that a YouTube wouldnt provide.

For mainstream pleb games where you have to find collectables, YouTube is perfect.

They don't even have a Setsuna walkthrough. I'm shocked, since you'd think a game like that would have had one shortly after the JP release.
