talking about FSB handlers in some other thread reminded me of a story i realized should go here instead

no, he didn't do that, but he did put on a bit of a show of exasperation regarding his trying to find the address of some building that didn't seem to be listed and how the offices weren't where they were supposed to be and also about some "Tetris" thing he was trying to find and just like he was totally confused about the Soviet system and just wanted to get this business deal done, then apologized for complaining to her "knowing she couldn't help"

she made a phone call and came back with an address (to the real ELORG offices) and then the next day he had a new translator/guide which was an older half-drunk burly dude

Seems like the Call of the Cthulhu game is kinda butt. I haven't gotten to play it yet, but it sounds like it goes wrong in the exactly the same way as Dark Corners of the Earth did: a great opening couple of hours when you're exploring the town and doing detective stuff, then the monsters show up and it all goes down the toilet. There's no combat (I think) just really bad stealth.

Apparently my Capture gallery is fucked all of a sudden on my PS4. Click on a pic or vid, and it just pulls up a black screen. Finally found online that AssFucking Crud: Odyshit captures; trophies and photomode, is the culprit. What in the actual cunt, Ubisoft?!? Fix this and fix it quick. Oh what, ..do I have to by a fucking gallery fixing pack from your store?!? FUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Not at all. There were two Medievil games released on the PS1 and they did fairly well, IIRC. There was also a PSP remake of the original, so the new game we're getting is a remake...of a remake?

That's bullshit hyperbole, dude. Shit was pretty popular and well liked at the time, devoted fans have asked for a follow up for a while now. Just because PS mascots are not in your wheelhouse doesn't mean they're fucking bubsy or god forbid Boogerman.

Yeah, at the time I remember it being reasonably well known (though no where near the level of Crash, Spyro, Banjo Kazooie and the other big mascot titles of that era). Like, I remember it being on a lot of demo disks and stuff, that's where I played it. But nowadays, I don't hear much chatter at all, never saw it set up at TooManyGames, Magfest, LI Retro, never see it mentioned on those "best PS1 games" lists.

I can deal with the graphics of most 32/64 bit games that I like, but I wouldn't mind a Crash Team Racing remaster so it can get an online mode and be the GOAT karter again.

Also I need an easily available port of Blood Omen without the excessive loading times. In fact, it's long been time for a Legacy of Kain collection. Just stop whatever Tomb Raider- or Marvel junk you're currently doing for a little while, Crystal Dynamics.

The music! How the dragon moves! I'm blown the fuck away. I don't know if it's because that I'm super tired and it's late , but the presentation is so epic, so emotional. I realize it's making me sound like one of those weird sega fans, but WOW.

I'm gonna be playing this all weekend.

I also got Panzer Dragoon Zwei. The framerate is super improved, it feels like it runs at 60 fps? .. The first level was kind of a letdown after being so impressed by the first one, but it looks like a great sequel.
