Most remakes past the ps1 era make little sense.
Ps2 had good enough graphics for most notable titles anyway.

I still enjoyed the nice rocks and grass in the SotC remake, but the OG remastered was still perfectly playable.
Early 3d games (PS1, N64, etc) make more sense.

A lot of normies will only play it after a remake tho, which makes no sense because the most popular games out there have shit graphics (AmongUs, Fortnite etc).

I'm not even sure if I liked the SotC remake and the same goes for Demon's Souls. It just feels off to me. Technically they're super impressive but some of the original atmosphere just gets lost.

They almost feel as if an big studio takes a crack at one of those Ocarina of Time HD Unity projects.

Playing RE4 on Switch right now but would definitely like a remake 2 years from now.
Capcom is seemingly trying to tie everything together.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness - Leon / Claire and an outbreak in the White House, takes place in the aftermath of Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil: Outrage - Rumored Resident Evil game for Switch unknown if it ties in with the Netflix show (RE4)

There are a few stories left to tell I think we never got to see Krauser and Leon working together which must have happened somewhere between Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4.

FF Dynasty Warriors would just be printing money and would be fun. Who doesn't want to play as dickhead Squall and slash people with his gunsword while upgrading his skill tree to unlock new draw magic attacks to Man with the Machine Gun playing.

It does have denuvo tho, and you dont have Dante ftom DMC3 if u dont buy the full pack (like 70$). Dunno how much of a difference that makes. I dunno i feel its overpriced for a remake of a ps2 game imo!

Maybe try emulating the ps2 game in high resolution instead I dunno thats free 🤷🏼‍♂️

Agreed, I mean unless you radically change the art style I can't really see what you can really do aside from adding forced angst and blood and shit... there have been quite a few 'dark' and 'mature' scenarios sprinkled throughout the whole series - watching your father die and getting sold into slavery in 5, a lovers quarrel ending with a river of blood forming when the murderer tries to wash the blood off their hands in 6, the World of Ruin in 11, lots of 7's scenarios (especially the one with the robots)...

A bit more worried about the battle system. I also hear a rumor the job system may be back...

Outside Act 3 scenario, I loved everything about DQ11 except the really small skill tree that you eventually just get everything. There's no real character building at all gameplay-wise between picking from like one of three weapon types. I like having a variety of build choices.

DQ9 had the job system, but I really didn't like DQ9 much with the lack of party members and whatever story/world. Would like a DQ8/DQ11 style nice graphical adventure with party members + a good deep job system.
