Beetle/Mednafen via RetroArch has been holding me down for a while but I'm not gonna lie, Duckstation may have snatched the crown for Android platforms. The performance is too good, even on my underpowered Shield TV.

Cranking R4 all the way up to 5x GPU resolution with 4X MSAA and PGXP enabled running at full speed

Yeah you can connect it through usb-c and it works fine wired. But if you got a 5ghz router, you can also run it through that just fine.

Fuck me this head strap sucks though. Now I understand why there is a 100 different oculus head straps on the market. Other than that, my impressions are very good so far. Despite the facebook shit.

I think I'll play this weekend. I got it on Origin before I got an Xbone and later double dipped with that version to play with friends. Anyone knows if the Steam version asks for your Origin login?

Yes, the Steam version still uses Origin DRM. You play with all the same people through Origin no matter what PC version you have. No reason to ~~double~~ triple dip if you've already got it on Origin unless you want the Steam achievements and such too.

There's a few older EA titles on Steam that never required Origin, like Mirror's Edge, but for the most part EA games require Origin.

TF2 on m+kb is hard for someone like me who didn't grow up playing shooters on m+kb. Aiming is easier obviously, but wall running, bouncing from wall to wall, grappling around the map, etc all take some getting used to. I might just go back to the 360 controller. There were a lot of people playing on PC last night btw. Finding a match took no time at all.

Played some Apex on my Series X also. Has this game always been so colorful? The maps I played on were all new and looked amazing. There are also like 8 new characters since the last time I played. I still don't like these Battle Royale games overall since you spend most of your time running through a big ass map searching for better weapons and armor until a team ambushes you or you get ambushed by a team. Apex feels like a slower more grounded Titanfall though, so it's the least annoying of the bunch for me.

Well my only advice is to stick with it, I used to play fps on PC like Unreal Tournament, CS and Quake3Arena, but then I played for a looong time on consoles. But I guess I still played games like Hitman Blood Money on PC with KB/M.

Its more laid back to play with a controller, but KB/M just gives an added advantadge of precision. After a while it will become more natural than playing with a controller

. But I know there are a bunch of people who are really good on PC who play with a controller too.

Apex has seen a lot of changes. I kinda stopped playing after season 2/3? I used to play a lot on Xbox because it didnt work on my CPU (fuck you Respawn). I only started playing again at the tail end of Season 7. The Olympus map is amazing imo, a lot better than the other two maps visually.

A bunch of new legends too yes, I was hyped for Fuse but he's kinda meh. I also dont really like Rampart or Loba. I like mobility, so I really like Horizon heh. Ofcourse im hyped for Valk.

The EVO shields that Apex added are genius. You dont need to search for better shields so much, because the more damage you do, your shield gets upgraded. You even get a grey bodyshield after doing a certain amount of damage.

Thats why I recommend dropping at spots where at least 1 other team lands. I hate hot dropping though, landing where there are four/five other teams. That just seems stupid to me.

I can't think of another franchise that has three (four?) different studios working on both individual titles and also supporting existing CoD's.

Rockstar does something similar but it's usually for behemoth releases like GTA or Red Dead.

And Culdcept Saga

I know Etrian Odyssey games are dungeon crawlers, but I have never played any of them.
Culdcept Saga looked interesting like monopoly with a TCG or something

The Etrian Odyssey games are all fantastic, although very similar to each other.

Culdcept is a neat concept (Monopoly meets Magic the Gathering), but the DS version is not that fun. Give it a try though, maybe you have a different opinion.

If you're referring to Flashback, the attempted "reboot" was horrible. It's like they literally decided to use only the cut bloopers into the final game's cut scenes, it was so bad. So yeah.. it could use some redemption.
