fwiw, I use my PS5/Switch/PC every day for most of 2023. And that's with not much gaming time in 2023.
Xbox is probably interchangeable with PS5 outside the few Sony exclusives. I like those games so I'm happy with PS5 but if I didn't care for those games Xbox would fill that same gap with Switch and PC.
It helps that PS+ Extra is actually pretty legit Game Pass competitor these last few months. Giving me plenty to play on PS5.
Also a big factor is that at this point 99% of Xbox games and game pass games are playable on PC, so better to go PS5 than Xbox for me since I can play Sony exclusives on PS5 and Xbox exclusives on PC.
Let's see what I've played, though not necessarily finished/stuck with, for 2023:
PS5 - The Quarry (PS+), RE4 Remake, Spiritfarer (PS+), Tchia (PS+), Ghostwire Tokyo (PS+), Immortals Fenyx Rising (PS+), and will play Horizon 2's expansion, FF16, Spider-Man 2 later this year. Oh and they just added Kenia to PS+ and I wanted to play that and was waiting for it to be cheap or in a bundle. PS+ Extra has been adding at least one game a month I would've bought.
Switch - Xenoblade 3 DLC waves, Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery, Theaterhythm Final Bar (play this almost daily), and will play XB3 Expansion, Zelda 2 and maybe/probably Pikmin 4 this year.
PC - VA-11 Hall-A, Hitman Freelancer expansion, Eiyuden Rising (GP), 2064 Read Only Memories, FFXIV latest patches, Heaven Will Be Mine, Tunic (GP), Utwarerumono Prelude to the Fallen, Hi-Fi Rush (GP), Utawarerumono Mask of Deception, Paranormasight, and will continue to play FF14 and indies on PC all year
So everything is pretty actively used. Nothing collecting dust, although if it weren't for XB3's DLCs and Theaterhythm the Switch would've been mostly dusting until Zelda this year. But I'm not really a Nintendo guy outside a few of the big series. Prime remake is cool but not a priority for my backlog.
