Phht. Not happening. Maybe if ms releases 360 slims but even that seems pointless.

If I didn't have a gaming pc I'd still have my 360. Games like Crackdown 2 weren't enough for me to want to keep one.

Oh well.

GTA4 is a pretty nice game on the PC if you've got the rig for it.  I think Rockstar just aimed a bit too high with poopy console hardware.

I'm sure Crackdown 2 will be just as competent on the 360 as its predecessor but I'd still like a PC version.  Like JC2, it's perfect for mods.

My problems with it were the boring ass missions and the lack of shit to do outside of missions. I doubt the PC version will change that.

Variety seemed fine up to the first 20%.  Does it get really repetitive afterward?

That's pretty much how I felt. The first 20% of the game was pretty fun, it's got that new-game look and feel, real next-gen sand box fun!!, but after a while it all wears off as you realize that there's simply nothing to do.

Yeah, I stopped playing after like 12-13 hours. Characters were cool, dialogue was funny, city looked great, but it just wasn't fun to play.

I finished GTA4 and all the expansions.

As the definitely source for the "real talk" I say with utmost honesty that GTA4 is one of the worst games to come out this generation.

Repeatedly tap A to run.

Even with the ANALOG stick fully pressed in the direction you're going.

Though in fairness, Saints Row 2 also requires RB to be held for running. :^(

yea but in that game, RB lets you run at a speed that you would not want to be doing all the time.

True. It lets you run crazy fast for short bursts, whereas GTA IV's lets you run at the speed you want to normally travel. And usually it's not fast enough to catch a car. Or even a taxi that's grown tired of waiting for you.

I don't mind sub-hd resolution, I don't min 30fps games. But I do mind screen tearing, and this game has a lot of it.
I loved the first Crackdown. But this one looks like it has too much chaos gameplay in it. And I don't really like that in games. It even remdinds me of Prototype...

Weird, I didn't notice any screen tearing when, you know, I actually played the game.

You've played Crackdown 2? Is there a demo out or what? I can see a lot of tearing in that video. But that could also be the bad encoding. Don't know.

I don't remember the first game having a lot of screen trearing, or any at all...

Yeah I played it at PAX. But I see what you mean by the tearing, but I think that's just the video.

I played about a cumulative hour of 8-man Rocket Tag and honestly, it looks and performs EXACTLY like the original. I didn't see any improvements to the graphical quality or any degradation. Which is perfect for what I want out of it. It was a blast to play.

That's good to hear. Crackdown is still one of the best sandbox games of this gen. Definitely more fun than GTAIV.

First up, the demo will feature 4 player co-op so you can run around the giant sandbox world with 3 of your buddies.

The demo drops June 21st

Finally, and this is new to the demo world, the demo will allow you to unlock achievements and carry them over to the full game.

That version was a generous 30-minute demo that, from what we could gather, will be released publicly at some point before the game's release next month. Interestingly, said demo will let players earn 100 of the game's 1,000 achievement points prior to the game's release, although unlocking all 10 of the achievements will undoubtedly require multiple play-throughs.

I wish they would do it like XBLA games, where you can earn the achievements in the demo, but you don't unlock them until you have the full game. Going to need to play this on an alt profile now since I don't play on getting CD2 any time soon.
