if there's a girl you see around the neighborhood and sometimes talk with, and you get along with her pretty well, and you know she has a boyfriend but notice that when she's talking to you, as opposed to other people, she never seems to actually refer to him as "my boyfriend" but only as "the guy I'm dating now" and similar, plus she never seems to actually be out with this alleged boyfriend, is that a sign that maybe there's hope? :graspingatstraws :foreveralone

Soo the cousin I mentioned is apparently getting married in a couple months, two months after divorcing her previous husband. He called me earlier today to give me the news, although it seemed more like he was fishing for info on the guy; I've never met him so I didn't have much of anything to say.

About an hour later my cousin calls and says she's bringing her fiance to my grandma's birthday party on saturday, and I shit you not said "you're going to need to bring us a wedding gift, understand?" What do you say in that type of situation? There's no way I'm buying her anything, I but I couldn't say that so I just told her I had another call on the line, and I'd call her back lol

Wedding gifts go out at WEDDINGS, right?

HOWEVER! The bride and groom never ask for gifts directly. NEVER. It's always done through relatives that throw parties. You can register for gifts, BUT YOU NEVER IN A MILLION FUCKING YEARS TELL ANYONE THIS DIRECTLY OR EVEN PUT IT IN THE INVITATIONS.

Call her back and tell her unless she's admitting to being a crazy psycho bitch money grubbing bridezilla, wedding etiquette states that the bride NEVER asks for gifts or even says where they're registered in any form of invitation, either via email, letter or phone. So I've noticed on Craigslist a lot of pianos are offered by people who don't want to put the energy into moving them so I've been looking. Someone posted that they're putting a piano out for pickup at 7am tomorrow morning. I'm thinking about driving my ass there and being there by 5:30 or 6 to pick that fucker up.
