I've been telling my mom for a month to update her iPhone so it's free for her to text me (I have unlimited text so I don't really care either way.) I've explained a 1000 times that she just needs to hook the phone up to the computer, and it'll ask to update.

She says she updates, and I tell her she must not because it still shows SMS on my side. It's god damn color coded. "No cause the background of the texts are still green. See this person? Our text background is blue."

I come to bed and get a text from a long distance number... "I think I found that free text app!!" No name, so she probably thinks it came through from her number. I refuse to respond. Thank god she didn't get a more complicated phone.

That happened to me too

was drinking and watching something in the computer room and then went to bed a decided to listen to some music on my phone, woke up at like 6 am with the headphones on and the music still playing.

I've been sick for days and not quite sure if it was a flu or something else. I was worried it was my gallbladder, due to abdominal pressure. I realized it only happens at home and I get reactions in my room. It's been impossible to sleep in my bed. I don't know if its mold or a reaction to the smog. Ehhhhhh

And place offered my freelance work, but the pay is way low, below livable wages. If I do it, its just some extra money, but then Ia m lowering everyones pay rate by doing work for what amounts to a penny per word.

Friday we drank at Upstream in the Old Market in Omaha. I had Bauman's Hop Farm Rye IPA and the Flagship IPA.

Then we bought 6-packs of Ska Modus Hoperandi IPA, Empyrean Dark Side Vanilla Porter and O'Dells IPA.

Today I went to Nebraska Brewing Company and had two 23 oz. glasses of Hop God Belgian IPA and then 16 oz. of Cardinal Pale Ale.

Also, this Christmas around here is crazy this year weather wise. Mild temperatures and no snow to speak of. Not that I'm complaining

The beer scene in Nebraska is pretty small, especially compared to Seattle, Portland and the rest of the PNW. They're trying, though.

I have a really cheap friend. He's always cheap, but every once in a while it gets on my nerves. Today is one of those days.

For New Year's Eve tonight, my buddy got two growlers of beer, I got one growler and some 12 oz. bottles of really good stuff to sit around and sample, and another buddy got a growler from a local brewery. Cheap friend is bringing a 12-pack of cheap shit, half of which he drank last night. I've starting to wonder if he thinks we find his cheapness endearing...
