Bought a car (2000 Subaru Forester). Buying insurance. Going to turn in my rental early if I can get some money back. That'd be neat. :DOIN-THANGS

Went to a mall's food court for lunch. "Sarku" is supposed to be Japanese? WTF is this crap?

I opted for a Greek place instead; had cucumber/tomato/feta salad, falafel, pita, hummus, tsaziki, and lentil-tomato soup for US$5. I haven't had Greek food in ages. So tasty.

Takoyaki is actually easy as fuck to find in Seattle. We've got a few izakayas in the city that do a good job with Japanese food, but still, no okonomiyaki.

this is probably the dumbest question ever, but if you're trying to grow out your hair, are you supposed to cut it for it to shape correctly?

randomly last month I decided I'm not getting a hair cut until I have Kurt Russell's hair from Escape from NY. And then I'm gonna shave it down to a mullet, BTILC style. And then Bruce Willis balding in Die Hard. And finally Powder, from the movie Powder.

yeah, while its growing longer you'll still wanna go get it cut occasionally to give it some shape and style, unless you wanna look like a dirty hipster/gamer. just go in with a certain style in mind and don't let them cut it too short.

I can do a pretty decent job of it with just a few ingredients. I just posted a pic of my recent pancake-griddle shenanigans on FB.

Kara-age should be pretty easy IF you have the mix for the batter. Otherwise you have to do stuff like grate and squeeze your own ginger.

I feel like I need to go to a salon or something for that eventually. Right now it's not too bad if I comb/brush it down. I'm only trying it because I've never grown my hair out and might as well before I can't later in life.

last night I had a serious case of involuntary tremors for like 3 hours. It was super scary because I was tired as hell and couldn't think of any cause other than that I had MS (My mom has MS). my family thought i had diabetes when i was younger but i got tested and it came back negative. i do get really weak occasionally if i got awhile without eating/drinking anything and the shakes are one of the symptoms. so it isn't something that hasn't happened to me.
it was the degree of which happened last night which scared me. it was full on teeth chattering shakes.

stuff like this also happens shortly before i get sick so it's probable it was a combination of not eating a lot on sunday + getting sick.

i should probably go to the doctor and get a checkup... but my health insurance hasnt kicked in so that has to wait.

True enough. Researching it a bit, you can have a part time job while studying and some places help students with living areas. UK suggests 800 pounds per year if you're a student and Uni can cost 5-6k quid a year. Since grad school will only be a year, that's at least 6800 pounds for that year with maybe 1000 pound extra for utilities, food, internet;etc. With some saving, it's definitely possible.

I'm going for it once I get a good job over here so I can pay off loans.

In today's world of globalization, an international degree speaks volumes. I definitely think it'd be worth it. Not only would I have a master degree, I'd have an INTERNATIONAL degree. This would break necks. In a country where the BA has become the new High School diploma, it's just the perfect edge you need to step your game up.

Depends on what you are taking but it is generally 2 years for a masters, 4-6 for a phd after the masters. If you are going for design I doubt this will apply but for most uni's you should get funding from your supervisor. It should not cost you anything.
