The internet was very important to me and well Neogaf was the center. But now I am disconnected. This has given me free time to watch cartoons, play video games, whatever.

I'm not sure why people whoa re basically on a splinter of GAF who talk about GAF constantly to the point of going "hey look at this thread derp derp" fail to understand that someone actually likes these things and takes them seriously? I mean Jesus Christ you are on a loser forum just as much as I am. Oh noes I guess I should take up real hobbies like getting pizz drunk so I can talk about what beer I like with strangers on the internet. Thats so exciting. Whatever the Bore is far to cynical for me. It's like the cool kids club were being enthusiastic about things that I guess aren't the most socially refined is fine. I get it, caring about a forum and being a loser sucks. Whatever, can't help it. This is not the forum for me at all.

So today when I was walking to the bus a dog without a leash came out from someones front yard.  The yard has lots of bushes and trees so most of the house is hidden from were I was.  The dog kind of followed me a meter or two, so I checked the tags to see if there was an address on them, there wasn't.  The dog then rolls onto it's back like it wants a belly rub and then pees all over itself.  It also had strange eyes, like it might of been becoming blind.  I couldn't tell if it was being friendly or if it was scared.  The hole time I'm kind of talking to the dog, because well that is what I do with Nami and every dog really.  So I go to knock on the door of the house, and as soon as I turn around a bush there is a guy there reading the news paper on the front step.  I'm kind of embarrassed, one for talking to the dog outloud and two being on this guys property.  I ask him if the dog is his and he says yes and I rush away.  Now I can't stop thinking about it.  Something seemed really off about the dog.  And because I rushed away I can't ask the owner if it usually pees on itself or if it's sick etc.  I just hope the dog isn't getting abused or something.

I couldn't tell.  It certainty wasn't a puppy.  I felt like it was old just because it's eyes were very pale.  Like it could have had cataracts.  But Huskys sometimes have pale pale blue eyes too.   It was a border collie though and I've never seen that on them.  I'm pretty sure I've seen it before with it's family and nothing seemed strange then.  It was just offsetting.  I don't know maybe I just feel guilty for not telling the owner the dog peed on itself.

Earlier this week I applied to write a semi-popular website and make actual money. Got denied, so I asked specifically what wasn't desirable and was offered a second oppertunity because "interest in feedback is as an asset." So I sent off what was asked and haven't heard back (it's been three days). No big deal. Well, about 20mins ago I got three different rejection emails from three sites all within a ten minute timeframe. Two of them were volunteer positions.

There's little more sobering than that, I suppose. Clearly I need to improve my stunning mediocrity and lack of voice.

Bullshit son. Being told you are going on trial (again, this time for SERS BISNESS) is waaay more sobering. The American legal system gives me hives.

If you're full-time, which means being the manager. I guess there's tips maybe but realistically, working at Starbucks is a pretty lucky gig for guy his age as they mostly hire pretty girls.

I say go do some back-breaking labor with some illegals in landscaping/moving/warehouse. Develops your Spanish skills, the pay won't be bad, and it makes you motivated enough to work your ass off once you go back in school.

I mean seriously, you guys talk about working in a gas station or a restaurant like it's some rite of passage. That shit ain't too difficult. It may not be glamorous, but it doesn't make you feel dead at the end of the day.

I played paintball for the first time today and it was a blast! Unfortunately I decided to be stupid and crawl on the ground in tall grass when my whole team was out, then stand up right in the middle of the entire rest of the time. I was pegged everywhere. Fortunately only a few of the paintballs exploded or whatever they do so I didn't get too many welts. The only ones that hurt really badly are on my lower back and at my hairline (which broke the skin and bled).

SO FUN! Now I have a new hobby to spend money on instead of stupid video games I'll never play.

Untrue simply based on the fact that they hired me.  If you can bullshit well enough (see: social skills), you can get a job mostly anywhere.  When I was in college (the first time, not the second time (shit I think it applies to me now too)) I looked for a job that had perks that would serve me while I was in school.  Free food, discounts on merchandise that was useful to me, ect.  With that being said: Walmart, Starbucks, or McDonalds.  You pick.

I hate having to deal with kids at work, but today was sort of an exception. Three kids (two boys and a girl) in the lobby, and the oldest boy had to be like 8 while the other boy was maybe 5. Anyway the older brother kept making the younger brother cry by saying "when you grow up you're going to be a bus driver!" The 5 year old kept yelling "but I won't know where everyone lives" and crying
