I've always said that in my defense of my profession as a whole, an acknowledgement must be made for the unfortunate racial discrimination cloud that hangs over policing in America.   One can't simply wave away the complicated experience of black America with law enforcement.

Heh, the only way you run into Mounties in Ontario is for a ceremonial event or some serious organized crime shit.  My peeps do regular patrol in every province outside of Ontario and Quebec tho.

Clearly Boogie you have the American syndrome despite being Canadian where acting tough is equivalent of phyiscally hurting someone and being physically intimidating.

This is very different from acting as a jerk or just being tough verbally in situations to get things done.

Maybe hit the library instead of the gym sometimes.

So apparently the new neighbors started a fire cause someone left a weave out near a ceramic heater today. I wasn't home so I don't know what happened but the misses paraphrased what she heard: "Oh lawd your hair it on fire bitch put that shit out" seconds later "OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT throw it outside" A few minutes passed and thinking that it was all taken care of the misses calls me on the phone to tell me about the alarms and that she can't hear if I call. I come home to find that something in our backyard is blazing up in flames. It didn't take me too long to figure out that they threw the fucking weave outside over the balcony onto our patio set. The heat was too much to deal with getting close and the extinguisher we have was only good for a small grease fire so it did shit. I threw cat sand and flour on it and nothing worked. Once it got to the foam it was crazy hot. We had to call out the fire department who were already on scene to reset the fire alarms thankfully. It didn't help that our maintenance shut off the water today due to my upstairs neighbor's plumbing problems. So not only did we have a fire but we were out of water while they were fixing the problem.

Insurance company for the apartment complex has been in and out all night "investigating" what happened. And the neighbors upstairs are blaming us for causing the fire. I'm waiting for our insurance company to come and inspect the damage since most if not all of our holiday stuff is stored outside and the boxes are just warped melted and charred. My handmade glass mosaic patio table and vertical garden is completely fucked though. Strangely the fire burnt through the foam on the chairs and left them intact for the most part. I'm just glad no one got majorly hurt and that I got home when I did cause it got out of hand rather quickly. If she wouldn't have called me I probably would have stayed out and finished up another task. But because she called me I figured it was late enough to call it a night and head home.

The lead firefighter investigator investigated the origin and found char marks in the apartment as well as the heater with burnt hair on it. My guess is someone was dumb enough to use some kind of flammable hair product on the weave and got too damn close to the heater. He wrote them up on several violations from my understanding. The police came and took everyones statements in case the apartment company decides to file suit for reckless regard of property.

I hope our insurance covers the patio and the belongings therein contained there. Cause if not there won't be a Christmas tree or any ornaments to be hung. I haven't gone through anything yet cause we're waiting for them to come check it out first. I fear I've lost many family ornaments as well as pictures framed inside some of them of people who have passed. I can replace wrapping paper, bags, and bows. But those pictures and the sentimental value its almost too much to think about. I can always make another patio table, I can't make those ornaments.

I've certainly lost my sanity when it's come to these folks though. I kinda felt bad cause I was judging them before I got to know them personally. Come to find out that I didn't need to know them to know exactly what kind of people I was dealing with. They are making it easy to see that they don't belong and this is just the first week of them being here!

Top it all off I've been banned from Steam due to a charge back on a game I purchased right before my account went to hell. I'm sorry Raban you might have to wait to play Papers Please a big longer while I wait for emails to notify Valve of the problem and contact my bank for being dumb asses.

So after waiting what seemed like a lifetime Allstate finally sent someone out to investigate our claim. I can already tell you that it's going to be a fight to get anything out of them. They classify the insurance as covering the enclosed area in which you are renting. But the claims investigator said that it means the structure and that the patio is not considered an enclosed area even though it does have a 8ft fence covering it.  I think that's a bunch of bullshit to be honest, if they meant the structure then they should say that cause using words like enclosed does make it seem like it would be covered. And the area where the patio is something that we are renting.

I've spent most of my afternoon with them trying to go through the pile of trash that was once our christmas stuff and patio stuff. It's really depressing and adding to that I've got a freaking cold. So I don't have it in me to fight much about this matter currently. I had them give me a case number which will contain the information and pictures they took while being here. I'm hoping that once I feel better I can fight with them some more to get something out of them.

I'm gonna go crash out and hope I wake up hungry for some soup. Someone bring me soup

January 1st I'll be switching from a dental plan with an annual limit to one without one (but can no longer pick my own dentist). I hope this shit goes away soon but in January I'm getting the ball rolling on this shit. I remember the dentist telling me 10 years ago when I was in college I should get them out

Are there any universities near you? Dental schools often provide cheaper service; the only issue is that it'll likely take a long time.

With respect to your new insurance plan: you're going to want to find out if the plan has an effective date. It could be a January 1st date which would work perfect for you...but I've seen a lot of plans that have effective dates that don't start for months. This could mean you'll be able to have cleanings, xrays, etc done, but won't be able to have any basic or major restoration (like extractions) done until after the effective date.

Sorry to hear about your wisdom teeth. They can be a super pain in the ass. I got the rare 6 wisdom teeth and had to have all of them removed when some of them became impacted. Don't wait find some dental care now before it gets too late. I went a bit too late and the infection from the impaction destroyed the bone it was attached to. The surgery I had broke my jaw and I have a nice little piece of metal in my jaw now...

I'm in a real bad emotional place right now. All of my distractions aren't working to keep my mind off things. I found myself in a parking lot just randomly crying earlier today. I don't know why I did it. I've been trying to figure out what's bothering me mentally, but I can't figure it out. I'm not used to crying at all.

Actually, in many ways gay people are very healthy. Gay people are means of elaborate population control. Since they're more likely to be attracted to people of the same gender, the more we reinforce that being gay is fine helps control population size. The larger a population, the higher the percentage of homosexuals. It is natures way of managing life. As for biology, homosexuality is very natural and is observable within nature. Many plants and animals are homosexual. It is far more lucrative to say that human sexuality is diverse and isn't black and white, which is true, and normal.

Also, your point about everyone on Earth being gay is kinda silly. Let's put it this way, you could argue that for practically anything. If everyone on Earth was female, what would happen to the Earth? If everyone on Earth was male, what would happen to the Earth? If everyone on Earth were a penguin, what would happen?! Thinking in what-ifs isn't an argument, only what is observable is.

That said, I'll give you some credit because for many people in general talking about sexuality to kids is kinda an iffy matter. Throw in homosexuality and bisexuality and pansexuality and you have a totally different bag of chips. But rather than emphasize the sexual nature, I think a page out of the book of compassion and describing it as love is a lot easier. Children are far more open-minded towards these issues than adults. Tell Little Jimmy that Uncle Steve loves another man, and he probably won't blink an eye, that is unless you outright tell Jimmy that it's wrong in the first place, making it a learned behavior. That's why people are so adamant on telling children it's okay to be homosexual at a young age - to erase the hate and discrimination towards homosexual individuals and allow acceptance within themselves if they identify as one.

Sent her a 30 days notice over text. She's been in the house 4 years and I guess with one of the other passive aggressive idiots moving out and one of her friends moving in, they're trying some weird power play.

The guy is subsidized by his parents and the government and tells my friend she's financially irresponsible because she spends some of her money, (she's self-employed btw) on socializing I guess. Imagine a living breathing spreglord gaffer who only microwaves his food, is 30, and is on his parent's tit. And this guy "doesn't agree" with "her lifestyle" and thinks she's "financially irresponsible" when she's never been late with the rent.

The girl was flown in by the guy, he even paid some of her month's rent there, he still might I haven't a fucking clue. Basically she's bought and paid for and is just using him.

Neither of these people know how to confront a human being. They're two faced as hell. And I frankly wish I could kick their ass.
