That's....possibly workable and I think I'm in a high data household since all TV shows are HD through Internet plus my 8 year old brother loves to watch minecraft videos on YouTube. Only reason I suggest satellite TV is that that's probably the main thing we use data on. Netflix for instance in HD is about 3GB/hour from some quick googling so that's a few hours a day of TV but I think we do more between the three of us so I'm not sure about that number.

Edit: Double checked and I use by myself about ~300 GB/month on my laptop. Maybe this varies a bit by the user.

Failed quality control but they're selling it anyway.

つmosquitoes are in a feeding frenzy.. I've been bitten five or six more times today. I have a higher body temp than Japanese average, so they seek me out. I'm mildly allergic to them, so these are very itchy.

I have hay fever as well, so I'm sneezing a bunch. Really annoying and noisy.

So I took two Benadryl.

Just use Windows 10. It's not the devil. It's a free upgrade, has the best driver and software support (though the former isn't generally an issue with Apple), it's not actually designed for tablets in any noticeable way, the data collection shit is not nice but on the whole a redundant complaint if you browse the internet at all (unless you go full RMS). Finally: the flat design may be ugly but it's only taking up a tiny fraction of your screen most of the time, so who cares.

Windows 10 adjusts icons/start bar stuff depending on if you're in tablet or keyboard mode. It detects the way my 2-in-1 laptop is folded or whether my mother's tablet is docked to the keyboard or not (usually not). I believe this is something you can manually toggle as well.

It makes navigating around a lot more intuitive than Windows 8 which had the same layout regardless of what input method you were using.

I love my Macs, but if you want to play PC games it is still a wasteland. The Mac hardware is also expensive for what you get. Still, I have less problems with it than Windows -- the OS just seems better behaved, and I like less trouble when I'm just trying to work.

I got the go ahead to take another two week vacation next year. My two options are:

- Spain for two weeks: Mostly spending time in Madrid and Barcelona but spend time going through the country. Disadvantage of course is that I'm limiting myself to one country.

- One week in Spain, one week in France: Downside is that one week in either country is probably not enough. Also I know little or no French. I would have 6-7 months to learn the basics though but that might not be enough either. I understand that everyone there probably speaks a little English but I'd feel dumb if I didn't know at least a little about the language

It is being updated, of course. The man himself, Linus Torvalds still works on the kernel. As for everything else, i.e. 'userspace', a project is being updated unless it's declared dead. Most that are still in active use have a maintainer(s) that merge patches from the community or add features themselves.

If you upgrade to Windows 10 then the old Windows installation will be kept for 30 or 60 days. You should be able to roll back with a few clicks.

Of course. I get new updates almost every day. Linux distributions have either "fixed" or "rolling" releases. For example, Ubuntu has two major releases every year (fixed). Other distributions have a continuous stream of smaller updates instead (rolling).

Took my little brother to watch that Iron Giant re-release in theaters and it was good. The theater was packed and I noticed like 90% of the audience was made of 20-somethings with no kids.

I actually tend to listen to a fair bit of gaming music while I work.
Rock I get too into and it distracts me.
Classical I start analyzing the music and it distracts me.
Gaming music is actually nice uncomplicated music that I can run in the background while I focus on more detailed stuff.
