I’ve been on E for 6 months, injections every two weeks, fully out for 2 months and I’ve never been happier.

I'm kinda hoping to do pills instead of injections if I get the choice only bc I hate needles

been "out" to friends and family for a few years but never really did anything, still lived my life the same bc I thought transitioning was beyond me
eventually a very good friend started pushing me to look into it and showed me a lot of before & after pictures of people & I was like wow thats fucking awesome

so the last few months its been a struggle to work up the courage to actually take the steps forward, but the family has been oddly supportive, esp considering the area i live in is pretty shitty about anything remotely LGBT+

waiting to have money again so I can start making doc appts and get bloodtests done, but going to see the family doctor who apparently is pretty cool about all this & shouldn't have any problems prescribing me hormones; & if there is a hitch in that, I've been looking up self medicating, so one way or another it's gonna happen

Yeah!! the changes are pretty significant, I was actually shocked at how effective it was and just how much could change by just swapping hormones in your body, feels like some scifi shit tbh lol

& I'm not worried about that, i'm not active enough on any forum to ever be remembered or noticed by anyone unless I go out of my way to post something egregiously stupid for laughs

I'm 30, going on 31, and as far as I know, it doesn't really matter too much once you finish puberty, it's still a pretty significant change

It's best to start very young before puberty starts and use hormone blockers, so you can get the most out of it, but starting "late" can still have significant results, I've seen a lot of women who started in their 30s/40s, no cosmetic surgery, just hormones, and you wouldn't be able to tell them apart from cis women
