Sold my Honda S2000 today. Got a good run with it. Should've sold it like 2 years ago when I replaced it with my Model 3 but was sentimental and thought I'd use it as a weekend car, which never happened and I just ended up spending a couple grand a year on insurance/dmv/repairs while it just sat all the time. Oh well, got ok money for it and I learned not to be so sentimental about toys, especially ones that cost you money to maintain. If my retro game collection cost me money to keep in boxes I'd probably just sell them all too at this point.

I'm definitely a monogamous car guy. Too lazy to spend time with multiple cars on a regular basis.

I did ok. Took it to a few places and negotiated it up a bit. Got $19,000.

If I'd fixed it up myself (rear bumper damage, replace passenger seat with torn leather, some other wear & tear; was definitely more "fair" condition than "good") and sold to an individual I probably could've came out a few thousand bucks higher profit (perfect condition sells for like $26k maybe, blue book is $21k). But I don't have the time so I'm ok with it.

A car guy had offered me $18k last year and I wasn't ready to sell yet. I think I wanted at least that as a minimum so I was ok with $19k

Also my insurance was coming up due again this weekend and was gonna be another $600, DMV registration coming up in a couple months for $200+ so it's a savings there as well.

Welp, I took the other car off my insurance policy today and they're like you were getting a multi-car discount on your main car so without that now your insurance costs the same as it did with the two cars so you don't get $1 back and don't owe more. 

There goes the $550 or so I was expecting back -_-

Auto-insurance is annoying but as an attorney who does Auto PI work you just gotta pay the ransom because like with medical insurance you get in one accident and someone sues you and takes all your money and you go bankrupt if you don't have decent insurance.

I recently discovered that a decent ball-bearing knife with a flipper will whip out just as quickly as a switchblade (which are thoroughly illegal where I live, despite the fact that machetes aren't). I'm ever so happy and I just wanted to tell some random people that can't have me arrested.

I think my new hobby will be collecting knives. Just wanted a decent one for when I'm whittling, but now I'm dropping stacks on some mad frame-lock flippers with drop-points and sabre grinds. I collected knives as a kid but then handed them all in during a big armistice at the end of the 80's. Shit's fun, and I'm also getting to add to my scar collection accidentally.

The law over here in England is mad strict. I can own all kinds of blades at home, but I can't even legally carry my whittling knife because one of the blades locks in place. It's obviously a knife made for carving little animals out of branches (the other blades are chisels and scoops), but I'd still be in shit for carrying it. I have to take my non-locking edc with me and then run the risk of the bastard folding and cutting off my finger.

Ah well. It's one of those 'greater good' things that I don't feel strongly enough to rail against. Knife crime is a real issue, and if that means I have to keep my toys inside, so be it.

Once you have physical access to a device, it's commonly accepted that it can be compromised. I've got a LINUX boot USB drive, if I can access BIOS and allow for USB booting during startup, I can access anything that's not encrypted on the machine's drives. Is that what you mean?
