Lebatard show had it right, 'the bubble' gives off the air of something fragile and weak. They need to rebrand into something assuring us of strength. The Impenetrable Dome, the Circle of Solitude, the Iron Fortress.

Gonna be weird to watch a game tonight that actually matters in a modern context.

It's still just scrimmages. It doesn't kick off until next week. I more meant that this is the first real basketball that is actually being played versus watching old games of the past.

Watched some of the games yesterday. Not too bad. I think they put in an ambient crowd noise thing which personally I could do without but whatever. As long as its not a crowd cheering or something. The players also feel like they pose a little less since there is no crowd to celebrate to.

The New York Knicks and Tom Thibodeau are finalizing a five-year deal to make him the franchise's next head coach, sources tell ESPN.

Knicks president Leon Rose and agent Spencer Breecker of CAA Sports were working Saturday to complete contractual terms, and a signed agreement is expected in the near future, sources said.

I don't think my heart can survive having to rely on KCP, Dion Waiters, and JR smith for the next couple of months....

And so it begins tonight.

Decent assist count for him, but yeah, his shooting sucks tonight.  AD playing well but he needs to start passing out to the perimeter, the spacing is there for the Lakers but I haven't seen AD kick it out much

Good game. Not pretty but both teams cared. Lakers win with Lebron kinda having a crappy night. But then again Clips were also missing players so probably a push.

Sucks for pels but was a fun night. Team lake show otherwise and wow I missed games. Hopefully they can actually complete the season.

Having Zion barely play unfortunately killed them tonight.

I don't miss the fans one bit. Also getting Lakers games an hour earlier in the evening is nice.

Just random aside.

Blazers Rockets was a good game. Removing the bottom like 8 worst teams in the league simply improves the average quality of the average game.

The Rockets are dare I say it fun to watch. Their pace is much faster than it was the last few years. It isn't just iso Harden til 7 seconds on the clock and then he drives. Westbrook is actually playing an entertaining version of basketball.

I'm not going to be doom and gloom because when you have Lebron and AD you have a chance of beating everybody. But Avery Bradley was the only defender on the team who could guard small quick guys. Nobody else on the squad can. So even someone as slow as CP3 can torch them. Just imagine lou williams or dame licking their chops.

They don't have a back-up point guard without Rondo as sad as it is to say I miss Rondo. Waiters can't do it. Caruso can't do it. So its all Lebron all the time and its wearing on him. Not to mention Lebron has just been a bit off since the restart started. I think he will get back in the groove by the playoffs but the other issues will still remain.

Also JR is done. Stick a fork in him. Waiters still has some game left but his decision making is as inconsistent as ever.

mpj’s looked really good this past week. glad that malone’s finally emphasizing him enough in the offense, cuz denver doesnt have a shot at winning anything significant without that guy turning into their primary offensive weapon

It's shaping up to be a good group, I really hope the bubble continues to work. So many sleepers...Portland, OKC, Miami, and Toronto...all dangerous.

Lakers not looking strong (at moment) and I don't trust the Clips. Which means they will win whole thing.  :lol
