if you guys still can, look into the crystal ring shield and the ninja flip ring from the forest covenant
crystal ring shield is any +10 small shield plus the moonlight butterfly's soul. initially it just seems like a good magic defense shield, but the L2 attack takes off 2 durability and launches a ranged ring attack scaled by your right hand weapon's strength. repairing it is dirt cheap too. like under 200 souls even if it's completely broken and it has fairly high durability.
you get the ninja flip ring from killing an npc spawned after you join the forest covenant, but obviously you're kicked out of the covenant for doing it. so join, do some online pvp and get the fog ring, and kill the guy for the ring (it's in blighttown, near that elevator). like Havel's ring, it lets you use heavier equipment and still dodge quickly. you keep the quick dodge so long as you're under 50%. I was able to rock Havel's armor and still do backflips all over the place.
I might glitch the game some more to fully upgrade my Pyro Glove. If I face the Bed of Chaos(?) and defeat it, Queelana will stop helping me for the rest of this playthrough :'(
I'm too weak!
you can grind enough to max the pyro glove in ~30 minutes at the forest the honest way. there's a ring in Tomb of Giants that gives 20% additional souls. a single run in the forest is 8400. If you're strong enough to challenge them without cowering in that glitch spot, each run can be done in seconds. In total you'd want something like 300k souls to get everything useful from her.
tomb of giants is a bit annoying. can't find a bonfire and I have to go a pretty long way from the catacombs one. Though it might be quicker if I start from the secret(?) bonfire in the catacombs, but I seem to have forgotten where that one is
if the secret bonfire is the one with the statue spiking you at the entrance, there's a quick way down to the tomb of giants. Just keep running straight, roll off the bridge to a ledge on the right, then roll again, heal, and dash to where that boss fight was to avoid fighting those wheel enemies. the bonfire in tomb of giants is more or less straight ahead. you have to fight maybe three or four of the giant skeletons to reach it, but head to the bonfire before talking to anyone or exploring further.
