I have to correct myself  ,you can now install games on banned consoles(even if they ban you today).MS returned that option via update,reasons unknown(probably some legal stuff).
So even if someone has banned 360 that can't install games,he can return that ability by updating the console
But the console will flag(not trusted source) saves and profile,they will work fine on banned console,but you won't be able to use them on a different console .

Earlier bans are not affected by this

Just get Red Dead now and play it on your old TV.  It's only HD on the console you should have gotten instead.

Finished it on Hard since Crushing was locked. Might as well have been easy.

Hardly any tombing, basically a shootan game.

Good environments, nice variety of set pieces. I would give it a solid 8.

You saw where it was when PS3 launched? That's where it would still be, if it weren't following the lead of the superior service. It's admirable that they're trying to retrofit the functionality in, and also that they're trying to keep it free, but it's part of the charm of XBL that its present is complete, consistent, and fundamental to the console's entire UX.

Played FINAL FANTASY XIII for about 1 hour skipping every fucking cutscene there is (don't want to spoil them in shitty SD res).

Pros:
- game is fast. Damn fast. Even though it has overworld --> battle transitions I think encounters play out faster than in FF12 which I thought could not be possible.
- game looks very, very nice. First impressions are pretty bad but the further you go, the better it looks. Beta Behemoth <3
- battle music is awesome! Very catchy tune, I hope I don't get sick of it soon
- the ranking system is pretty ingenious. Instead of finishing every battle with as little damage to my party as possible I know want to finish *every* fight as fast as possible to score the highest rank. Pretty clever, kind of weird it wasn't in the series before. Let's see them rank Tiamat type of encounter from FF12 however
- UI is sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick. Loving it!

Cons:
- for the first hour, skipping all cutscenes, the environments look all the same. Where's the variety? How long can one dungeon go on?
- people making fun of how much linear it is are 100% right. There's literally nowhere to go but forward. Straight line dungeons. How the mighty (FF12) have fallen...
- can't say a damn thing about characters yet (skipped every cutscene) but the black guy's battle poses annoy me greatly. He's some ballet dude or what?
- buying shit at savepoints. WTS Square? Where are HD Towns?!?

It looks pretty bad (SD res) in the first dungeon. But later on starting where Ghouls and Altima is, not to mention the frozen lake... it looks gorgeous even in shitty SD.

Can't wait till I get down from Cocoon to Gran Pulse. Shit will be mindblowing!

3D Dot Game heroes is fun. I played through the first three dungeons yesterday. It's NES Zelda with in-jokes.

Also you can play as White Glint. That alone makes it better than Zelda

Last fight wasn't that bad 'cause I figured out pretty quickly that you had to shoot the sap.  Still, I hate boss fights that throw all the previous mechanics and strategy out the window.

I also felt that U2 could have used more platforming but at least it was fun to watch. 

How did you feel about the controls?  That was my main gripe with the game.  The reticle just never felt seem to move at the right pace although that could be more of a problem with the Dualshock 3.

I had lots of problems with controls and hit detection, when dealing with ledges. Especially during the last fight.

The shooting felt fine, I think. Also I can't believe we still have to tap X just to climb a ledge. Hopefully 3 fixes that... even Enslaved didnt do this, afaik.

What class did you start as? I beat 1-1, 1-2, 2-1 and 2-2 in my first sitting only dying once as a Royal, soul arrow 1 hits most things in the beginning. I did use the wiki though for tips, and got some lucky breaks with blue phantoms helping out. Hardest part is grinding out all the crystal geckos and doing all the tendency events, also if you jump on now I'm not sure if it's still going as I haven't played for a few days but there's been a pure white world event running since late December and they said it'll be going into the new year a bit. Next time I'm going to start out as a Temple knight which seems harder initially, but once you get past a certain level as long as your build is good the game is pretty cake, at least the initial run is, I haven't killed Allants final demon yet and haven't tried ng+. I've been caught up playing FFXIII's final chapters....
