I always felt sorry for the people whose faces were coated with zits. I always wondered if that would leave any kind of permanent scarring once it cleared up.

I could count the number of pimples I've had on my face throughout my entire life on one hand yet I never washed my face. Even with the irritants that wearing a football helmet would provide in HS, my face was blemish free.

My face was a mine field by the time I turned 14. What made matters even worse is developing the habit of popping those pimples. That usually left blemishes that looked like cigar burn marks. It was horrible.

Fortunately enough, all it took to reverse this was daily usage of regular facial scrubs (later switched to basic wash) and quitting that disgusting habit (duh). By freshman year of high school I was zit/blemish/scar free. No dermatologist visits were needed.

I took Acutane as well, at like 15 years old. Had TERRIBLE acne. I haven't had a single blemish on my face since I was 18, I think. Not many visible scarring, either.
