i feel terrible every time i see a meme. these people are really trying, they want something - anything - to contribute. they're laughing in their cubicle as they hammer it out and for that briefest of moments they feel like they're part of something; yet all they can contribute could be replicated by a basic algorithmic cog. open source welfare humour.

I used to post the shit out of kimi ni todoke gifs, there a very few topics where people can actually contribute beyond "my opinion here". It's the nature of a news aggregating forum. Whereas I post on a smaller forum (not my own) where I regularly participate in stuff like coloring manga pages, helping with scanlations, advising folk how to effectively use webapps etc.

Xenoblade was so stunning even with its 480p Wii graphics, X looks to totally improve on the scope of even that game, along with HD graphics. It's really exciting if you are like me and prefer beautiful, massive scope Japanese RPGs to every other type of game (since they don't come along often at all).

Japanese games succeed in art direction not tech direction. Which is fine by me, I prefer art to tech anyways.
