EmCee did some good figuring out but I think he blew his load too soon, if he is right then Awesom-O will turtle up and avoid obvious comparisons.

The no-knock thing raised a flag for me too but I don't really give a shit.

I was in primary school for the Pokemon Blue/Red/Yellow stuff. Got into Pokemon Blue the most, as I bought that on release day (along with one other person from my school), and then sometime later it became super popular with the cards, cartoon, etc. I have the official Mew. As in, I went to an event at a mall to get it.

After those first few games, I tried getting back into it with the GBA and DS one, each time thinking "POKEMON IS BACK!" playing a a few hours and quitting out of boredom. I did it again with Black and White, but I wised up before wasting money.

Also, at that aforementioned event, I played pokemon stadium (prerelease version) against some hefty twenty-something and he was pissed after I wrecked his shit. That's what he gets for playing a child's compulsion tool.

Pokemon Snap, though, is still kick ass.

I'm reading that 'best franchise this gen' thread on gaf and I have a new appreciation for mama robotnik's efforts. I mean, the topics can be (and usually are) dumb but the rules mean members must post unique. I flat out don't understand the purpose of that best franchise thread; it's just people posting game names, people only quote others to point out the definition of franchise. In real life, it would be a bunch of guys yelling out titles in a warehouse.

I think you guys are overrating mailmen, maybe in the 1950s they were walking around getting to know everyone. But now days I just see them drive up and fail to park their truck then waddle up to the box. More like Newman than Paperboy.

Meanwhile that accountant probably is going to the gym, farming off all the real work to all the underpaid college grads who can't get better jobs with their degrees while he bulks up 24/7 knowing someday he'll have to fight a mailman to the death.

Plus he might have worked for Arthur Andersen or something so he spent some time in the joint learning some tips. About how to rip other people off so he'd just hire some mercenary from Blackwat-excuse me Xe and they'd do some kind of strafe with a helicopter.
