I never know if I should tip in a foreign country...everyone knows Americans tip and many Americans tip while traveling but I'm sure some don't. I usually err on the side of leaving a small tip. My brother is always embarrassing about this though because he makes a point to leave a large tip and really point it out to the waiter. Like "hey, maybe you guys don't do this here, but we believe in being generous in our country!"

For most restaurants, 18% to 20% is only the standard when your party is 6 or more. There are some "high class" places that automatically charge ~20% regardless of the party size.
