I don't much care for gaf bashing because for every percentage of fucktards there's usually an equal or better percentage of pushback.
However, the Zelda threads are rampant with continuity/timeline halfwit mouthbreathers and its driving me crazy.
I mad.
Complaining about TSA or someone else?
EVERY-OOOOONNNNEEE
Or just fucking about. Its like those bozos who argue over the Kremlings changing motivations throughout the Country games or what parallels they symbolically represent in the real world or whether Cranky Kong is OG Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong is REALLY Donkey Kong Jr. Seriously? Really? People play games for stories? NINTENDO games for STORIES? What went wrong in their life? Who did what to you in High School, son? It's not too late to stop the bullshit and stop making MY MY MY internet a terrible place for ME ME ME.
FUCK
Since Zelda takes itself more seriously than Donkey Kong I pay attention to that stuff more. And the references to other games do, in general, enhance my experience while playing it.
I DON'T want it to become fricking FF13 or anything. What it does now is completely fine. Thicker story threads than most of Nintendo's other franchises without devolving into melodramatic, overwrought FF or MGS BS.
Also Andrex we need to trade Pokemons at some point.
I don't know, don't yours have PokeHIV or something?
And no, I haven't even played a Zelda game in years. I'm just a fan of world-building and storytelling in general, and I hate to see potential go to waste. Zelda did have one of the more interesting videogame mythologies until Nintendo decided they didn't care about that aspect of the series.
The mythology is there and present in every game. Just because the individual games usually aren't strongly connected and recycling the exact game characters* every game doesn't mean Nintendo abandons it every game. We never would have gotten Wind Waker if Nintendo had set out to make OoT 2, 3, 4, etc. TP gets enough heat as it is for just taking place in non-submerged Hyrule.
* Different Links, Zeldas etc. are different characters.
