the wii's attach rate even now is pretty much the same as the ps3's, not that they should be proud of that or anything, but it's not like it's the only weak showing in that regard, and since the console with the largest userbase generally ends up the console with the lowest attach rate, it has more of an excuse than the ps3, to boot.
the 360 is just a damned beast. it probably saved the western game development industry.
I dunno. Third Party on PS3/360 sells a HELL of a lot better than attempts to sell it on Wii. But that's a multi-pronged reasoning: 1) The controllers/no motion controls after people bought into the Wii hype and got burned. 2) Competent online systems for most people in comparison to Nintendo's shitty online system.
I'm not even factoring first party offerings of the consoles into the equation. The fact is: Sells outside of first party Nintendo games have been pretty low for most of the Wii's life outside of a few exceptions. It's mostly because of the two reasons above... though I guess "LOL HD/ACHIEVEMENTS" could tie into some peoples reasonings as well.
Of course, number 2 isn't part of the reasoning that Move/Kinnect titles are selling less-than-expected... okay, maybe they're selling expected in MS/Sony's terms, but they aren't flying off the shelves either. People got burned
hard on the Wii hype and it's going to continue to bite motion gaming in the ass until there is
something out there that proves it's a legit method of control that isn't laggy/obtuse and a controller does the same thing better.
How are White/Black different from the first DS Pokemons? I bought that game out of nostalgia, and being tempted by the online features. Both both were quite disappointing. The online was boring, despite being able to get rare Pokemon just by giving my shitty Pokemon American names lol. Everything else was pretty much the same gameplay.
I'd love to see an MMO-type Pokemon, whether it was restricted to 100 people on a server or whoever many friends you want.
Different camera controls like the New York City place, 150 new Pokemon (probably one of my favorites since Gen 1 was introduced this gen), random battles included instead of "LOL BUY A WII AND OUR RUSHED POKEMON COLISEUM CLONE FOR THAT!" TM's are reusable and don't need to be bought anymore. Once you own it it's yours forever. They also revamped the battle engine/under-the-hood changes. Stealth Rock is still powerful but because it isn't a TM and not move-tutorable it's harder to get and thus the "meta-game" for "competitive" (

) Pokemon has changed.
I mean, none of this stuff is too important in your mindview, but it isn't really sitting on it's ass either.
But really, the biggest gripe I have towards Black/White is removing the Battle Frontier just like Diamond Pearl before it. What the fuck is this shit and why the fuck does it happen every goddamn generation launch? This should be standard for
every release going forward since Emerald yet Gamefreak drops the ball every-time.
