Film-GAF is pretty weird in how they talk about film all of the time when all they talk about is blockbusters, same goes for music age in a way. The only community that seems to encompass everything is the gaming dols which shouldn't come as a surprise since it is a gaming forum. Film-Bore and Music-Bore is most definitely on another level

Expendable posts at the IMDB boards too spamming the exact same topics word for word he posts at gaf just in a desperate attempt to get hits for his site. I bet he does it at a bunch of other boards too.

Film GAF has two distinct prongs. The majority are posters who mostly discuss mainstream shit (like myself), and then there is a sect in the Movies You Have Seen Recently thread that comes off as rather pretentious artsy types. And not much middle ground. I agree that its a cesspool, but its one I enjoy swimming in

But that is basically all he talks about, outside of blockbusters. He acts like he is a Spielberg historian and a film expert when basically all he watches is blockbusters. I think the only non-blockbusters he talks about are the dramas Spielberg directs. I can't listen to someones opinion on a film when he is so obsessed in his little Cameron/Spielberg world and basically unwilling to pay attention to anything else unless its a blockbuster and/or in 3D yet go around pretending to be some sort of movie expert.

If he stopped thinking he was Pauline Kael when only watching movies that fit his own little fanboy world he'd be way more tolerable. Movie-GAF died when TVC/White Man basically stopped posting in those threads. The fanboys took over.

Its gonna be a great year whatever you're into. All the blockbusters, new QT, new Malick, new Cuaron, new PTA, Cogan's trade, Argo, etc. I can't recall a year since about 2007 that had as many potentially awesome releases.

They are also on netflix instant watch, I saw them that way.

The director said if he does a third OSS 117 it will be set in the 70's and be more of a spoof of the Roger Moore style Bond movies like Moonraker. I hope he does it.

It's like his one and only go to movie to prove he watches dramas.

His 3D obsession is creepy. He comes across like he is on the verge of tears in that Star Trek thread because JJ Abrams doesn't give a shit about 3D. He went from hyping the movie in like every thread to hating it purely because it won't be filmed in 3D.
