Having read that thread that be some grade A bullshit there. Why were people getting banned for reading the OP and voicing their opinion on it? The original OP gave off the impression that she was in a relationship with this man. While rape happens in relationships the fact he said she was raped multiple times, and still wants to see him makes her side of the story a bit harder to believe. Then suddenly people get banned when he suddenly reveals that she was married, and that they were never actually dating at all, and instead it was rape?
Well, again, these are murky waters to navigate. I don't know if Kabouter would feel compelled to explain anything here (I doubt it), but he does read this forum, and I don't want to speak for him. Now, I don't know if I agree that outright banning was appropriate for
everyone there. However, even taking the original premise at face value, I don't know if it's really appropriate to just immediately call bullshit. Rape is... not the easiest thing to make assumptions about in regards to the effect it can have on the psyche. I'll happily defer to anyone else besides me more qualified in understanding human psychology, but suffice to say, I'll just state that I think it can destroy someone mentally.
And as part of that destruction, I don't know if I'd necessarily say that being in a situation to be raped again implies consent, which is what was being suggested. Mind you, I'm just offering a countering viewpoint, as I really don't feel like getting in a heated discussion on the topic, least of all at The Bore. So, I'll just stop here.
