Really fail to see what the point would be of making it 16:9.. would be a big hassle for a marginal benefit that no one really needs. hoping not true.

At the expense of a good aspect ratio.

I'd rather them keep 3:2 and bump up the form factor a bit than go to a widescreen aspect ratio, this shit sucks.

It's not an industry standard for smartphones, and for good reason.

I find widescreen to be a very offensive aspect ratio.

Typing in portrait with a 16:9 screen is much better, lets you see more. Landscape there's no benefit for text entry, but for video watching and website browsing overall. Plus it fits the hand better.

I've generally been "off the internet" other than updating some photos on Facebook and poking the Nthings on here rather than wasting my time whilst on holiday.

Net result has been that i've played games, got my head around PS Suite dev, spent a ton of time with family and had what feels like an absolutely huge holiday break.

Life is better offline - it's part of generally getting away from wasting my own time (on shitheads)

Especially if that critique is not unfounded and is about various mechanics, glitches or hardware issues. The sheer amount of projection that happens on forums, especially gaming forums is just fucking ridiculous. Sometimes I feel like people can't enjoy stuff without some rabid fanboyism keeping them from admitting where something has a fault. And I don't mean stuff that's quite subjective but any sort of thing a person with some critical fucking thinking skills might find issue with. Sorry for the rant but it's the whole reason I can't talk games/consoles for sure. The staggering amount of horseshit just in discussing games I like is enough and I already gave that ghost up.

I just don't get it, I enjoy Halo but I'm the most critical fucking cunt about it. I have no love loss with Reach. I hate my fucking 360 and I've found more use for it as a streaming device (probably because my desire for gaming itself has waned). I guess I just don't wrap who I am around what I happen to like or own. I have to say the phone wars amuse me the most since like I mentioned in another thread I'm partial to using stuff till it breaks. I'm not uppity about it either, I can see the utility in stuff like smart phones, iPads, and other tech but the idea that "my device is superior to yours", jesus christ. I'll just never understand the vigorous defense of crap without any sort of admission to how it might suck or just be of little use to others nor the need to shit on what others have because you refuse to (or don't) own it. It seems like the mentality of a 5 year old and yet it's allowed to persist in various places.
