It's not that, they just flood the thread with the same one-line reactions over and over, you can't tell them apart or keep track of who is who. There's been a huge influx of gay posters in the past few years, which is good, however I don't know why they're all following this boring model.

I remember a few people calling this out a year or two ago, while arguing against them myself. Now I feel stupid.

I wish Wes Anderson would ditch his "quirky" thing that he perfected and simultaneously ran into the ground with The Royal Tenenbaums, and would instead create the preeminent slice-of-life cybergoth masterpiece that we all know he has in him. It should be like the first half of Wassup Rockers with made less boring with awesome gothmetal montages with like fights and sex and drug use. I guess like Kids except with cybergoths and with an aesthetic and vibe that feels less organic (than Kids) and more obviously director-micromanaged thus necessarily more hyperbolic.

I find people who seek approval of their looks over the internet to have low self esteem.

That's one reason the Post your Pick thread on gaf is sad. The same people post there and its almost a complete copy of their last photos. So I assume they posted these photos to feel good about themselves.

I personally don't have a need to have my looks validated by a 30+ year old who looks homeless. Sorry its just not my thing.
