Furthermore, the reference to a "nest egg" in the hundreds of dollars, along with his other comments conflicts with his claims that he is some baller ass baller.  I mean, we knew it was all bullshit but it isn't adding up.

sorry this is yet another misunderstanding on your part.  When I asked for the fundraiser, I was basically out of money.  SINCE the fundraiser helped my Mom and has relieved some of the financial burden, I have since that time started saving up again (for my wedding, for my house).  But, also, I was putting aside $50 per paycheck for a little big party week for me.  That was my gift to myself for a long, difficult year.

So $0 to $400 back to $0 (or less than that, presumptively). Jesus Christ, Amir0x. People with no drug habits and living paycheck-to-paycheck manage their money better than you do.

You want to get shitfaced, that's your choice, but if you're going to marry someone you need to be looking out for both your sakes. The fact he thinks it's okay for him to blow the money he started to save up again after GAF came bailing water is just... ugh.

Why did that guy ask for donations? Not knowing any details admittedly, but why wouldn't his mother's care fall under the "end-stage renal disease" program? It's been on the books here in the US since, what, the 70's? Free dialysis. No other disease enjoys such favor (that I can recall). At any rate, what would $10,000 alleviate given the burden of medical bills a terminal patient would (likely) be billled? It's like spitting into the ocean.

The thing with opiates is that when the euphoria winds down its just so... Empty. I don't mind the fuzz every few months-yearly or so but doing it on the regular would be depressing as fuck, especially if you're downing 200mgs to feel anything. It's not like shrooms/etc where you have an "experience".

I've tried Oxy a few times before but like all pills or meds I don't like the high it gives me so I stopped.

It's only particularly good if you get pure oxy. Time release and acetaminophen heavy stuff kills the euphoria rush.

There's a difference between drug users and addicts.

Well, yes. But that difference in some cases is a very fine line. I know plenty of people that've done rehab and relapsed because they just go back into that life instead of having the will power to say "no, I'm not strong enough to say 'only one'" or something to that effect. So I'm a little biased toward being cynical.

In Amir0x's case, he flaunts his drug use pretty regularly which wouldn't be bad if it was just "oh, I'm doing Mary J" or other soft-drugs. But the fact he does hard drugs and pretty regularly? Yeah... dude's got no self-control it seems. Exactly why I don't think rehab is going to help him.

If he's taking lethal or near lethal doses of oxy, I assume his place of work knows about it already or strongly suspects it.  Furthermore, I wonder just how functional a hardcore addict would be yet has 75,000 posts on GAF (he lives and breathes GAF, even after being demodded), supposedly works a supervisory position at an army depot (sounds suspect if he is a hardcore addict unless they have extremely low standards), and has time to play games online with some people.  It all doesn't add up and I suspect he really exaggerates his drug usage to sound hardcore.

It's his life.  It's funny how caring and sympathetic GAF tries to play itself off as yet enables mother beating drug addicts because they were once a moderator.  The only people I feel sorry for are the mongs who donated money to an obvious scam.  Even funnier is that most people who probably donated barely have any money themselves since most of them are manchildren who will barely advance past their entry level positions.
