I feel their relationship moves perfectly. It is a bit slow and fumbly to start, considering who Sawako is and that for the first quarter of the anime she just wants to be friends with Shota, who himself becomes weak kneed around her despite his false bravado. It moves at a brisk enough pace when they both catch feelings.
