Nintendo stuff is happening right now

Netflix will eventually stream 3D trailers and other videos to the 3DS.  That's nice. nvm, I think Netflix is regular, then Nintendo will have its own service to stream 3D trailers/videos.

3D video recording too, maybe, possibly, who knows.

3DS Virtual Console includes Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Game Gear, and Turbo Graphix.

Online stuff is all in May (web browser, other stuff)

New 3D Mario from the Galaxy people.  Logo has the Tanooki tail from SMB3.


There was a new Zelda Skyward Zelda trailer too.  Main takeaway was showing the villain or another character or something.  Looked nice.

Zelda OoT 3DS looks fine for a quick port/remake of a 1998 Nintendo 64 game.  It doesn't look any more impressive than the Dreamcast versions of N64/PS1 games like Soul Reaver or Rayman 2.  There are much better looking games on the 3DS and if they ever get around to making a new Zelda for it, it will probably look a lot better.  But because of that, it doesn't really look good or anything.  I can't tell if people are being sarcastic in the gaf thread.

iphone stuff is like a dollar or three, and it's on your phone, with games being one of the many tasks its capable of.

ds/3ds/wii 'casual' stuff is full priced, $30 to $50, and on hardware designed to play video games, that is bought for the purpose of playing video games.

having said that, I have no problems with either of them.  there are some fun 'casual' games I have for the ds and wii.
