As far as I could tell, they're silkworm larvae. They were deep fried. They weren't too bad, unless I thought carefully about what I was eating. Like eating shell-on fried shrimp, except the filling is nutty.

I had leftovers from dinner out last night: garlic fried chicken with a blue cheese cream sauce and garlic mashed potatoes. Yum yum yum.

Finally tried making some pork loin. Came out awesome! Wish I had a bbq around to sear the meat a bit more.

I learned something new that I'd never done before either. I ended up making roasted potatoes, a mix of red/yukon/purple with a bit of shallots and fresh garlic mixed with one awesome ingredient.

This added some awesome heat to the meal and made it taste so good.

TONIGHT I shall repeat but I'm gonna make some fresh green beans with prosciutto/shallots/blue cheese.

YUM. And I've been wanting to try bugs! They've been difficult to find in the Bay Area though.

You should come on down to the south bay lots of the Polynesian/Filipino places serve up bugs. There's even some Indian places in Sunnyvale that do cricket curry.

I had some roasted dog once, was surprisingly decent. Kinda like duck.
