Osamatsu-san the movie was pretty good, unexpected feels hit tho :'(

Onto s3 which up until last week I had no idea existed

Switched from Hulu with ads to VRV with Crunchyroll. Deffo an upgrade though less integrated with Google TV.

I don't understand why so many 3D anime have worse animation than 2D anime. I pass on most of them, but I'll give this one shot. The english voice acting sounds decent, but I hope there's still a japanese option.

High Rise Invasion is ridiculous and amazing and everyone should watch it. Looking forward to the 2nd season.

Pacific Rim Black is okay and has potential I guess. The 3D animation isn't janky so I approve. Hopefully these first few eps were just like a setup or something and future seasons will be more exciting.

4 eps left until I'm done with Noblesse and I'm guessing it wasn't too popular? 5 years old and still no 2nd season?
Edit: Nvm, it just aired last fall. Google fail on my part.

Not sure what I'll watch next, but I'm going for short to mid length shows that are streaming on one of the popular services. Nothing with a 100+ episodes for me right now.

Yashahime: Half-Demon Princess

Just watched episode 23 which was basically a plot dump, then I learn watching the preview that 24 is apparently the last episode?!?

A lot of people are pulling for a “season 2” but this has gotten TERRIBLE reviews and even reactions from the InuYasha fanbase. I don’t see how a season 2 happens, which means episode 24 is truly the series finale.

“Sesshomaru’s Daughter” is the final episode’s title. The references and bits of fanservices to the old series have been fun and appealing, not gonna lie, but I didn’t think it’d be over so soon. If this 24 episode series is all I have to judge, Yashahime is a startling failure compared to InuYasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale.

I had assumed my love of Zoids Chaotic Century/Guardian Force (originally watched at 5-6am before school, would set my alarm earlier than my mom would get me up just to watch this show) would be mostly nostalgia and the show wouldn't hold up, but damn if this isn't a legit fucking action scene.

Skip to the 3/4 mark and this shit is intense.

Ha, speaking of Togashi. I had to look this up, I always forget about that first Toguro appearance lol. I always think of the Dark Tourney first.

FWIW Togashi's inclusion and depiction of Alluka in the latter part of HxH is refreshing for trans representation in any media. She's been one of my favorite characters partly for that reason.

Despite Yusuke's dealing of her (he's supposed to be pigheaded in any case), Miyuki of the Triad also offered a surprisingly nuanced and sympathetic view for something from the 90's (reminds me of Bill Murray's char in Ed Wood.)
