Had Taco Bell for the first time. Is mad expensive in NZ. Cheesy gordita crunch, crunchwrap supreme, mexi fries and a drink set me back 25NZD. For comparison my usual mcds feed of big mac, quarter pounder fries and drink is 17NZD.

The food was great though. I liked the greasy salty beef. Gordita crunch had lovely texture. Did douse the shit in the hot sauce packets which were tasty. The fries had a tasty seasoning, does the US taco Bell do fries? They didn't serve Baja Blast and I'm pretty sure the UN was set up to prevent that from happening, so not sure what the deal is here. Washed my meal down with a coca cola.

Will eat again soon I'm sure

The thing about Taco Bell is that it's tasty, open late, it's crazy cheap, and they're all over the place -- in the USA. In other countries, it's not going to be all of those. In Japan, they're regular hours fast food, expensive, and hard to find. Still, the nostalgia for that taste sends me their way whenever I see one. In the USA, it's "why not" but in Japan I feel like, "I'd better get this while I can."

I'm honestly surprised to still see this thread kicking. I was definitely part of the original TB cheerleading squad on The Bore, but man, all of them near me have been garbage for like 5 or 6 years. Not just "i'm growing up and it don't taste like it used to" type stuff - but the tortillas on the bean burritos and soft tacos are always crunchy & stale from being warmed up and then sitting out too long. The cheese on everything is always unmelted. The quesadillas have like two, maybe 3 pieces of chicken or steak. I'm shocked to read the latest comments in here and find that it's apparently not everywhere? The TB's in my area used to be amazing but just completely fell apart the last few years. Now I'm jealous

The ones around here are garbage as well. I'd rather have Zantigo's or Taco John's, or preferably just about any random taco truck or mom and pop place.
