If I had to guess, the lcd screen will be small (sub-3.5 inch) and meant for additional inputs/navigation rather than a full on tablet for streaming like the Wii U. Well, that's what I'd prefer. No one would put it past Sony to copy it and use its gaikai connection to make a (technically) better wii u.

Why are biometric controllers brought up every once in a while? The example companies give (Valve, Cabella, Nintendo, etc.) is always "the game will adapt to your heart rate!" now the 2pro4u players will drop some valium before they play? I don't get it. Dynamic difficulty is already underutilized in games (God Hand, Sin Episodes,

) so I don't understand why anyone will pursue it? at the end of the day it'll just meant he controller will lose some grip and battery life from the operation.

I just hope whatever Microsoft is doing, it includes a nice traditional controller that's more or less the 360 pad with better buttons and d-pad, and maybe a small touchpad (like the ouya).

It'd be disappointing if sony didn't include the nicer features from the Vita, or even the Xbox 360 features the PS3 never caught up with. Stuff like custom soundtracks for every game, taking screenshots for every game, web browser running in background, etc.

I could see a native video streaming/twitch-esque service on a console appealing to some. Something I'd expect more from Microsoft than Sony.

It's a shame the N64 controller developed such a bad reputation; its optical sensing design is more precise and reliable than the potentiometer-based sticks we use today. The N64 sticks lost precision over time because the stick axes wore each other down. If the N64 sticks had been made of a more durable plastic (or metal) from the start, we might be using the optical design still today.

You got lucky with the N64 controller! The sticks on mine started to grind into dust about a year after I got them (too much Mario Party

).

When I got an N64 in 2005 (years after getting rid of my original one), I bought a box of 10 spare OEM sticks on eBay for about $20. Real ones, optical sensors and all. I think I could sell each one for $10 nowadays; turns out real ones in good shape are rare! Those cheap knockoffs they have on eBay now are terribly imprecise.
