I fucking dare you to take all the shit youve said in this thread in a print out and read it to your grandma.

GAF is unreadable, yes. It is much worse than when KZ2 gifs were all over the place back in 2006.

Sony announced 8GB of GDDR5 for the PS4 and Steve Balmer is just like "Yeah, whatever."

...15GB of which will be reserved for Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Netflix, Hulu, XBLA, Achievements, Kinect, IPTV and Windows 8
(Shoots self in face)I'm surprised nobody has antropromorphicized (sp) the term "GDDR5" yet
I used to go there to get up-to-the-minute news, but now it's just walls of worthless shit threads like "HOW DO YOU THINK MICROSOFT WILL KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK?" or "DO YOU THINK PEOPLE WILL GET MOTION SICKNESS FROM 1080p 60fps GAMES???"
MS and Sony both wanted a unified memory architecture for their next consoles. Sony went for brute force with GDDR5, which is ending up costing them a lot of money to supply 8 GB of it. From what I remember of the rumors, MS went with DDR3 plus some esRAM and "move engines" that are supposed to assist with the bandwidth constraints. If MS's solution costs less while providing "good enough" RAM width to run the console, rather than the pricey overkill of GDDR5, they could spend more of their budget on a better CPU/GPU and come out ahead in performance. That's assuming they didn't already blow their budget on cramming a Kinect 2 into every box. With that said, I still won't buy an Xbox 3 if it forces you to be online or forces Kinect.
>50% longer memory latency for CPU/ GPU compared to PC!!!
Maybe you need more ram
