I'm not thinking about multiplayer as you know it today.Think something like Destiny,something designed from the ground up with mandatory online in mind.Ever evolving City and who knows what kind of shit that some crazy game designer dreams about.Full "SP experience" but with fundamental parts running on some server,updated to you in real-time.Not traditional multiplayer,not traditional MMO...something different

PS4 has a waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better chance of getting Gundam/mecha/Japan-only games, so I kinda have to side with them over Rango, regardless of online-only bullshit.

My xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, PS3 have always been connected online, so I don't see the big deal. All those features people here tout about with the PS4 will require online, so isn't that essentially always connected?

2050 was just some random year,next GTA will be probably out in 2019.I guess it all depends on GTA 5 performance but I have no doubt that Rockstar would like to return GTA to its previous glory and influence.I just don't think that is possible without some real online innovation/integration.

The deactivation of the license from the disc was described as simple, it obviously connects to the net to check if you have the disc. It probably checks for the license as well for the user/console from the disc too. It's probably the only reason Gamestop is actually somewhat positive about the nextbox. Sony seemed to have similar tech but it looked like it was all console based not requiring online but still requiring the same user in order to access the disc.
