It was just one of those games that never clicked with me.

I can see hypothetically what other people saw in it, but it just never came together for me.

I think it just seemed like too much of a rehash of other games to me. It’s basically techno Tomb Raider with an uglier protagonist.

Refined Ubisoft sandbox Tomb Raider Reboot. The rehash thing basically counts for every game though.

Getting your traps and stuff to work in synch was pretty cool to me.

It's ridiculous that Indies are selling gangbusters while big 3rd parties are more or less fleeing in abject terror. It's nothing new, I guess.

I'm really curious about that Totally Not Starfox^TM game from Ubisoft (with Totally Not Amiibos^TM). Sales comparisons between the various platforms will probably be very interesting.
Still, the waters are a bit muddled unless they come out with a Master Chief/Destiny(?) collab as well. I mean, give Ninthings Nintendo franchise tie-ins and they'll be there, day and date. Particularly since the game looked more Starfoxy than any recent Stafox game by Nintendo.

Unfortunately Unity games in particular just seem to be terribly optimized on Switch.

Third parties just need to understand that there’s not much of a market for old ports or feature incomplete ports. It’s a hard sell to buy the latest South Park RPG on Switch for $60 when it’s selling for $20 on PS4 and X1 every other week.

My bold prediction is that Switch becomes the primary platform for Japanese centric games in the next 2 years. It regularly doubles the sales of the PS4 in Japan, eventually devs making games for a primarily Japanese audience will notice.

Edit; maybe even sooner. I would not be surprised for Switch to overtake PS4 in Japan By the end of its 2nd year.

You raise an interesting point though. That game should be doomed, by all accounts. Late port, middle-of-the-franchise release without simultaneous prequel port, a step down from said prequel. Franchise hasn't been on any related platform for ages either. That's kinda risky.

(Less aggravating than the ME3 idiocy on WiiU for sure, ... but still kind of a weird choice even if you only treat is as "training" for the devs.)

Will still sell some copies for sure, after all the switch software market is still rather young, hype is somewhat still going and there's very little like Wolfie 2 on the switch. Far cry from a genuine effort, though.
