It's pretty easy to have your BS outlevel you at first anyways - I've been putting my monies mostly into BS and the Journeyman stuff is 10+ levels above my character.

Is there any cross-character bank/stash/mail?

I think Legendaries are Orange and Sets are Green. They definitely have unique colors.

Higher difficulties, upgrading your artisans requires drops (Pages of Training) as well as money. Also, since your Artisans are cross-character and cross-difficulty, if you don't upgrade them in your normal game, they'll be L1: Sucky and not able to make useful Nightmare gear until you pay the Normal price.

If you want to ignore them during Normal, it won't hurt you, but expect to have to stop and farm them up to snuff in A1 Nightmare.

I was wondering where the Pages of Training from the beta went. I kinda figured they kept that to higher difficulties. Cool.

Ok, this is cool and makes sense. Gives better incentive to have more than 1 character.

Like if I make a witch doctor, a barbarian, and a monk. And I'm playing as a barbarian and get some sweet monk gear, can I put it in my storage chest, change over to my monk and grab it from the storage chest and equip it?

So (let's say) you beat the game with your L30 Barbarian. He hops straight into Nightmare with all his skills, gear, etc.

But when you start a new L1 Demon Hunter, he's on Normal ... but with all the gold and Artisan training of your previous game. So you can kit yourself out IMMEDIATELY with some awesome gear and blow through Normal like a BOSS.

Regarding "how do I know it's good"?

- If it's blue, it could be useful for you, but isn't worth selling/trading.
- If it's yellow, it's probably good if it has:
+Int OR Str OR Dex (useful to individual classes)
+Vit (ALL classes need Vit)
+Other stats, especially regen or life leech
- If it's a legendary or set piece, it's BEYOND valuable. Hang onto it until the real-money auction house launches.

Dipped my toes into the crafting waters. Nothing too wild going on there - if you've played an Elder Scrolls game you've dealt with all this stuff before. Good to know the levels carry over to your other games / chars tho.

This game is way more fun on Nightmare. The only things I don't like about it are the uncreative boss fights (a few of them are good) and pretty much all of Act 2. The rest of the game is fun tho. Also, I haven't really felt the need to use my blacksmith. I usually have gear that's way better than the stuff he can make at rank 5 or so, but I'm sure he will be useful for alternate characters.

The jeweler on the other hand is great. Gotta get dem perfect jewels.

Protip for those looking to max out yer dps: due to the way shit is added, multiplied n stacked, little rings that give +2-4 damage have a markedly bigger impact on your dps output than say a +20 bonus to your int/str/dex in almost all cases. So, if you're playing a wizard try to get a spellbook or spheres for your offhand if you're using a wand that have a good dmg bonus, same with rings, amulets, etc.

Also, I have no clue how the weapons base dmg stats are calculated when you're forging shit. I forged some of the 3rd tier wands for Duuuuuurp the wizard today and got 2 that were right around the 25.6 or whatever the baseline stat is. The last one was base 37.0 with a bonus 5-8 holy damage. BOOM. dps for lv 25 wizard is hovering around 200 with all my bonuses right now.

Holy fuck this part of Act 2 is AWESOME in terms of gameplay as a Demon Hunter. Enemies that commit loot harakiri by blowing themselves up in a kamikaze festival of shiny stuff. Since playing Demon Hunter is all about staying AWAY, this has made the entire chapter BALLS TO THE WALL since you have to constantly evade, stay on the move, and do anything you can to keep fuckers from exploding in your damn face. It's not hard, but fuck is it FUN and more engaging than simply smashing shit.

sometimes I'm salvaging weapons and I get a yellow tooth material saying it's from deconstructing rare materials. Is that by chance or am I destroying good stuff? They're didn't seem good, at least.

Seems random to me, at least with magic (blue) items. I haven't salvaged any rare (yellow) items yet, though. I assume salvaging a rare (yellow) item would automatically give a yellow tooth?

yea, Viz and I played a bit too much today

My Barbarian is nigh unstoppable brehs. Only thing I don't like about the game are the boss fights. They're rather uneventful tank n spanks, outside of the Act II final boss. This is definitely an area where the game could benefit from some WoW raid design.

I think I'm missing something about 2 handed weapons. All the 2 handed weapons I get have the same DPS as my 1 handed weapons, so why would I use a 2 handed one and lose the defense of a shield? Is the DPS actually doubled with 2 handed weapons?

Played some Monk, it's cool but not much different from Barbarian yet. Wizard was more fun but would get overwhelming without some crowd control.
