The sign beyond Iwata says "very creative."   :lol

I like that they are showing web browser features between the tablet and controller than you can already do with a smarthphone/tablet and TVs/media devices.

So..spend $250+ on the system and another $40-$50 to play all the games that won't use its controller!

Entire acting section was the worst thing I've ever seen, but the system and persistent online communications thing looks really good. Really think they should have made it less 'mii' branded though... MS or Sony will do the same thing but sleeker and without the cutesy avatars and get praise for it. It looked a bit like NEAR on Vita actually, but better.

This was embarrassing. That promo video was some next level trolling, and did Iwata really need to explain to the audience that Wiiverse was a combination of the words Wii and universe? I wasn't going to buy a Wii U anyways because this company's burned me one too many times, but jeeze.

If you look past the tragically produced infomercial I think there was lot of progressive things to gleam from all of this.  My home screen is gonna be empty as fuck though. I'm wondering why the guy wasn't using the stylus to type things though.  Is this an indication of a different type of screen?

3ds infrastructure looks really bad in comparison now.

It's completely different.  Nintendo patented this controller in 1987.  Microsoft stole it from them.

for real though it probably has motion control and such.

if the analog sticks weren't stupid I'd buy one for PC.  d-pad is sure to be better.

Yes.  I'm assuming that the mass majority of non-shitty western (and some eastern) titles will use the 360 knock off controller.  At least Nintendo realized their controller schemes are shit to a lot of people and have offered an alternative.

Why does that controller even exist? This thing is supposed to use all the Wii's peripherals right? Unless that has a gyro in it, why not continue with production on the current CC Pro and give it a wireless feature?

ccpro didn't have clickable sticks. Probably the only difference.
