So close AP. Nothing to be disappointed about though: dude had a stunning season, coming off what most thought was an injury that would ruin the promise of his career.

Is there a particular reason the score of the Redskins/Cowboys game is front and center on Drudge?  Is there some cultural significance I'm missing?  How is he baiting black people with this?  I haven't followed the season closely enough to know.

Redskins have two legit QBs. Cousins was solid in college, I knew he'd do well in the NFL if he was in the right situation.

Drudge is from the DC area (he went to my high school) so he's presumably a big Skins fan.

Drudge is also heavily invested in the "is RGIII black enough, is he a republican, etc" stuff. I know his motive is to expose "reverse racism" or whatever, but I did enjoy seeing the site slam Rob Parker

Yup. He's been pretty pissed about Django and trying his hardest to paint it as a failure, mainly due to some of the stuff Jamie Foxx has said over the years. "Exposing" black reverse racism is a pretty popular exercise on the right. That being said, anyone who shits on Rob Parker gets dap from me, and I do think his comments racially offensive (and I rarely get offended)

Instead of making any actual changes, the Lions fired the WR and TE coaches. I'm not making this shit up. No coordinator lost their job today, despite this shitty season. This organization is shit, the team sucks, and I'm a sucker for being a fan.

For all the shit I give Matt Sanchez, he finished with more TDs than Stafford - you know, the Stafford who had 5k yards and 40 TDs last year. He has completely degressed, and instead of bringing in a new offensive coordinator to help fix his shitty mechanics...we're bringing the old gang back. Amazing.

LOVIE SMITH got fired. Andy Reid got fired. Norv Turner got fired. We could have pursued them -  I'd love to get Lovie or Reid as coach, I'd love to get Norv as offensive coordinator; hell even if we got Lovie as d-coach, I'd be fine. But no, we're bringing EVERYONE back. After losing 8 GAMES in a row. We haven't won a fucking football game since leaves started falling from trees

Ryan would have started Tebow, but a "6" just can't be converted in to a "15"

Though, if he were still fat, he could turn it into a John "3:16."

Actually, I think the Falcons might win that one. Seahawks were looking bad until RG3 retweeked the knee. The problem is that you can run on the Seahawks D, but Michael Turner doesn't really impress me.

The Seahawks have momentum and the Falcons only know how to choke in the playoffs. Then again I might be biased since I want to see ESPN masturbate themselves to death over Seahawks/Packers revenge talk

and here we go
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2013/01/07/tom-joyner-on-rgiii-mike-shanahan-and-django/

I'm not going to bring race into this obviously. Every argument I've heard in defense of Shanahan boils down to 1) you don't pull your franchise, best QB from a playoff game 2) RG3 said he could play. Kirk Cousins is not a scrub, he could have finished that game RG3 could barely stand or pass, he should have been pulled regardless of what he said. I realize he wanted to show his teammate's he had heart...but every player on that team already respects him; he didn't have to prove anything. Also, he's a rookie, not Tom Brady. If the coach tells you it's time to come out, it's time to come out. So the focus should be entirely on the Shanahan
