Draft thoughts? Another top 5 pick for the Lions. I guess I shouldn't be too worried - we tend to get these right recently (Stafford, Megatron, Suh), although we've certainly fucked it up in the past (see: Charles Rogers, Roy Williams, Mike Williams...three WRs selected in the top 10 for three consecutive fucking years. Matt Millen, ladies and gentlemen).

I'm hoping Eric Fisher is available at 5, but I doubt it.

This draft seems kinda blah to me and there's really not a player out there that's standing out from the crowd. Usually I'm pretty stoked around draft time but everything about it feels underwhelming this year, but then that could just be because the Seahawks don't really seem to have any needs and I'm just not paying enough attention.

We could have gotten a DE in the second round with similar stats/performance as Ziggy...I just don't get this at all.

At least we didn't take Milliner I guess. Too injury prone, I wouldn't take the chance even though we obviously need help in the secondary.

I mean, I realize the deficiencies he has, but this is a league where even some of the worst QB's get multiple shots over a long period of time.

I don't hate Tebow. In fact I admire what he has done for homeschool athletes, who are now allowed to participate in public/private school tournaments thanks to him; I wasn't allowed to play or even travel with my (private school) team in junior/highschool tournaments, and it crushed me.

But he's not an NFL QB, and I think it's unfair that he has been given so many chances despite being a third round talent at best. There are a lot of guys who would kill to be taken in the first round or signed to a backup position based on talent alone, not media hype.

If you think about it, he's the worst sort of realistic role model for ANYONE other than the homeskool valedictorians like PD, I guess. His story screams, "If you're polite, love Jesus and coast on your natural ability, you get multiple chances to succeed.
