My stance on systems is this. If there are 1 or 2 games I want on a system then I will probably get that system. Fanboy stuff doesn't factor. I'm only a fanboy for one system and that's the PS2.
I bought a Wii finally when Xenoblade was coming out in the UK. I had wanted to play that and No More Heroes. Till this day I own about 9 Wii games and with the release of The Last Story I don't really see that number going up. Still I got a few games that I really liked out of it and thus the system was worth it to me. I've played it the least, no doubt, but it was still worthwhile.
I'm no Nintendo fan, never have been. Their IPs have no interests to me and their style is not for me. But you know if they throw me a bone, I'll probably take it. Bayo 2 is them throwing me a bone honestly. I really enjoyed the 1st one and really want a Sequel. So for me, the Wii U is of some note because it achieved the most simple accomplishment. It has a game I want to play. Sure it sucks the system's capabilities will be a bit weak, but I don't care. I sit up here and play PS2 games still and think they look great on my old tube tv. As long as your graphics are well done, I'll probably think the game looks good forever.
Either way, I doubt Bayo 2 will be a launch title and hopefully by the time it does come out, I can afford the system.
