Yeah, you don't HAVE to use the AH.  But let's be real, you can get a wand on the AH for like 2 million gold RIGHT NOW that would probably triple your dps.  It's like saying "I don't have to drive a car, I've got my feet and can walk wherever"  No one is going to respect the tardbucket that refuses to drive a car.  It's like you're choosing to be Amish in an ipod world, broseph.

I don't dislike D3 at all but the loot early in the year was shit and for a loot game that is a huge flaw. Game owns otherwise.

Drops are way better now.  What happened earlier was a combination of drops sucking AND Inferno being way difficult.

And that would hold a lot more weight in this argument if the AH was ever surfaced within a game session itself. The reality is that its so far removed, requires such process-based nonsense of transfering purchases to stash.....It is a user choice, outside of the gameplay to super-charge their character with hot shit. Game progression did not REQUIRE the AH, silly expectations of some players required the AH. OH NOES ORANGES FROM HEAVEN NOT HAPPENING LETS RUN TO AH! OH NO MY frIEND USE AH AND HAS CRAZY STATS WHAT IS THE WORLD IF I DONT DO THE saME/E/.

Content difficulty is now completely customizable/scalable for endgame, so in Inferno you can have cruddy dps and play at MP0 or have 100k+ dps and be able to keep everything more or less permanently frozen as you destroy it on MP5 like me.  Or, you can just play a whirlwind barb and play on MP8+.  Fucking barbs.

Also, the AH isn't hard to use, come on MAF.  It's WAY fucking easier than using a 3rd party forum or some shit to troll for trades like you had to do in D2.  I mean, if you enjoy playing the game with sub-optimal gear on lower difficulty settings, I guess good for you.  But doing more shit and getting better gear requires a baseline level of gear that you're not likely to ever get just from drops/crafting (haha, is crafting a fucking joke)

Lots of people bought gear from AH in WoW 1-60 vanilla, don't make up stuff.

I didn't say AH is hard to use, I said its your responsibility. I wanted a game that had challenge and still had that loot aspect I liked- so I didn't AH. It was both challenging and when loot did drop it was exciting. I knew that if I decided to AH it would not longer be the game I wanted.

eventually.  the rgg series is nice in that it never becomes rare and always reliably drops in price quickly, so i should be able to get it in a couple months when it hits the 3000-ish mark.

I should have my copy either Saturday or next Monday. It definitely takes presedence over my other new games (E.X. Troopers, 2nd SRW OG).
