Soo, what you're saying is that instead of becoming known as possibly the greatest goalie of all-time, he decided he would rather fuck around for 2 decades to no real purpose and then start a political career in which he's really  only  known for his failed bid for leadership of the Liberal Party.

Dougie just scored his first NHL goal

The goal was assisted on by Tyler Seguin--so the goal was a Kessel--also known as a triple hamburger with cheese-wiz between two donuts.

The Kings are getting absolutely wrecked by Chicago. Somehow I don't think we'll be defending our Cup.

No team has repeated since the Red Wings in 97-98, so it wasn't likely to begin with.

But yeah, the Kings aren't doing so hot.

And Chicago is NUTS.  12-0-3!

Last season, the Kings started off slow, but not Quick. This year, he's been pretty bad. And their offense sucks again. Their two leading scorers are tied for 100th in the NHL in points.

He was borderline elite last year, averaging nearly a point per game--both in the regular season and playoffs--and playing great D.

Three point game for Sid with a goal and two assists.

And yet, as much as Sid the Kid is beasting, I am even more taken aback by the Blackhawks.

They have the deepest D in the league with some great defensive forwards.

And, they've been lucky--winning 12 games by one goal while "losing" 3 by that margin, and really none since those games were tied after overtime.

I'd post more to break up the malek posts, but just repeatedly spamming "How awesome is Crosby?  Soo awesome" would probably get old.

Also, Leafs are still doing allright.  Stole a point in the Pens game last night, still sitting 5th in the East.

Leaders in Points
1   Sidney Crosby   PIT   45 (33 assists)
2   Steven Stamkos   TBL   37
3   Chris Kunitz   PIT   36
4   Martin St Louis   TBL   33
5   Patrick Kane   CHI   30
6   Eric Staal   CAR   30

He'd be third in league scoring with his assists alone.  :lol

Orr and Gretzky actually played together on the same team! Bobby organized a charity game in 1980 to help raise money for Bill Heindl, a former teammate who became a paraplegic after jumping off of Bridge in Winnipeg.

aaand the Pens extend their winning streak to 11 games.  And this with Malkin out the last six games, and Letang out as well.  A 2 point night for Crosby with 2 assists.

With Malkin and Letang in the lineup, this team would be pretty much unstoppable.  And if it wasn't for those damned Blackhawks, that would be the story of the season, hands down.

Also, in Leafs Land, this week an arrest warrant was issued for Nazem Kadri's uncle for charges in connection with an ongoing RCMP investigation into illegal online sportsbooks/money laundering/proceeds of crime involving the Hell's Angels and Italian Mafia types.  Whoopsie!

I want to strangle someone every time I hear an announcer say "the refs are letting the players play." Hockey has rules, and those rules are supposed to be enforced by the referees. If the refs aren't enforcing these rules, they're not letting them play hockey.
