July 15, 2013 is the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Family Computer (Famicom), known as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES™) in the United States. In anticipation of the launch of the Virtual Console service on Wii U this Spring, Nintendo will celebrate the anniversary by releasing a Virtual Console title each month at a 30-day special reduced price of 30 cents*.* After specified promotional period, each game will be made available in the Nintendo eShop at regular price. Wii U owners who have purchased the game(s) during the promotional period will not need to purchase the game(s) again at the regular price. Games purchased during this promotional period are eligible for 2 points in the Deluxe Digital Program. Point value subject to change.
The localization of Xeno is definitely going to take more than 6 months, in fact it'll probably be a MH3G type deal of like a year and a bit more.I'm just hoping they won't de-confirm it for America now that they've put it front and center on their own YouTube channel and their ND.
Nintendo of America localizations are that bad? That's some 90's shit.
that's pretty big news for a pokemon game, yes? aren't they usually 4 months apart in release dates
Quote from: Eel O'Brian on January 23, 2013, 10:45:03 AMSo, you can only buy those games for $1-1.50 if you already own them? This isn't a "new, permanent low price" thing?if that was the price of VC games, I'd buy a WiiU for retro BC alone.

This isn't a "new, permanent low price" thing?yeah, it's a discount if you own them on the wii. I transferred my wii stuff to my wii u last week and it transfers shop data as well.

This isn't a "new, permanent low price" thing? You have to transfer them from Wii to WiiU for the new price to appear, which is how it does the check I assume. Because we all know that their account system is garbage. So you will more or less have 2 copies of your VC games on your system.
they should work on improving the dog shit of a firmware first

Andrex, you think these "amazing" announcements will make Wii jump into quadruple numbers in the UK?

Now, if you think "improves" should mean "meaningfully improves," then I'll share your skepticism.
Quote from: Premium Lager on January 23, 2013, 12:40:11 PMAndrex, you think these "amazing" announcements will make Wii jump into quadruple numbers in the UK?Who cares?Looking forward to E3, considering the Big 4 are gonna be shown for the first time there, there's no way it won't be better than last year's. Hopefully it's as good as their E3 2010.

shown or talked about.
Quote from: Don Flamenco on January 23, 2013, 01:06:56 PMshown or talked about.I think the working theory is that all will be shown in some form or another. I left Zelda off that list of assumed titles because I'm led to believe that it's still in the very early design stage.
X was the most interesting announcement of the bunch and kinda reminds me of when the 360 star ocean game was first shown. Hopefully it will be better than that game.
Andrex we could make communities on xbl years and years ago. In fact we our own called Cafe de Bore. Plus that is shit I can do on steam.why are you excited about this?

1. Draw a cock2. Take a picture of the cock3. Send to everyone4. Demi5. Profit
I can't believe all the NeoMaggots that think Wind Waker HD looks good. Look at it. fucking LOOK AT IT. IT LOOKS LIKE UTTER SHIT!!!!!! At least OoT 3D looked very reasonable and agreeable. Wind Waker HD is just some amateurisch looking bullshit, just wow. It must be outsourced to some shitty company that isn't Grezzo.

Either really early or just shit. I mean, it's probably gonna be baby easy anyway, but still had some hope. Yoshi's Island .
Again, this was Nintendo telling its public to wait. “I apologise to those supporting Wii U for the lack of new titles during January and February,” implored Iwata early on in the presentation. “But please understand we will have new titles to offer from March onwards.” It can promise and tease all it wants, but Nintendo’s fiercely loyal fanbase is growing uneasy. Not to mention impatient.Meanwhile, PC and mobile continue their inexorable rise, and Microsoft and Sony prepare to unveil their next-generation consoles. 2013 could be the year in which the videogame landscape is utterly transformed, more quickly and more viciously than anyone could have forecast. When Nintendo finally delivers the games its fanbase wants, will they still be interested?
someone broke an NDA and released Nintendo design doc for wind waker HD(Image removed from quote.)
nintendo is just catching up, lager. with their current online system and now inclusion of bloom lighting, they are now in 2003. only ten more years!
