Didn't watch last week either, but they had matches that they taped prior to air. Read the current results and it appears to just be a two hour recap of various matches from 2019. Yeah, the problem with AEW is that it feels like it's the same few people doing the same few match-ups every week (or other week) and nothing is going anywhere. I don't watch the show for like a month, come back, and it feels like I missed nothing.

I think having fewer ppvs is actually the way to go- I like NXT having 4-5 takeovers a year, I feel like it gives feuds/programs time to breathe and develop, and then you get a nice payoff at takeover.

...however NXT is the most logically booked promotion going these days, with well developed characters (for a wrasslin show, anyway) that generally behave in a consistent manner. AEW is... a mess with like, 3 different weird cult factions, and a group of guys that call themselves the Elite but do nothing but lose, so, you know.
